Fuck this sucks. Stupid computer teacher making us do gay shit with VB6 and isn't even teaching us how to use it, I guess I'm supposed to learn to use it at home.

"For some reason."

Great. That's helpful. Perhaps you could get a bit more of a response that way.

Run setup in XP Professional compatibility mode, disable desktop composition, disable display scaling, and disable visual themes. Also, run it as an administrator.

What's the latest version of VB? I don't want to learn VB6 then realise I've wasted over 9000 minutes when I could've learnt a newer one.

VB.NET. Newest .NET framework is 3.5. Newest VB IDE is Visual Basic 2008 Express which is a free download.

It's a helluva lot different from COM based VB (meaning VB4 to VB6).

Visual basic is a fun tool to use to fuck with the average no-nothing computer teacher. Its fun making goofy error messages come up and making them loop 1000 times.

Too bad your teacher is trying to teach it to you!

Overall it's pretty useful though. VB6 anyway... I'm not really down with Vista. XP still works excellently for pretty much everything except Direct X 10.

The silly teacher fails at teaching it, I may fail this standard because of his lack of skills.

I need a quick way of learning bullshit VB6, any tips?

I cannot find anything on google, looking up "visual basic 6 sample" doesn't give me anything relevent, except for aids.
