Bush has condemned the aggressive actions of Russia (hypocrite), but the bombing continues with the death toll at roughly 1,500. Since a war between Russia and Georgia is about as even a fight between a grizzly bear and a squirrel, a ceasefire must be put in place. Now, I feel that Ossetia deserves autonomy, but pummelling civilian targets with bombs really doesn't make sense. Of course, the mainstream media has more pressing issues (ie, Olympics, Amy Winehouse, Paris Hilton)

Yeah, Georgia has no chance against Russia, but they kind of should of thought about that before annihilating the Russian-supported separatist stronghold of Tskhinvali shouldn't they?

Right now what Russia is doing is essentially protecting Russian citizens.

Except the fact that Russia supports the separatists in Georgia. Russia isn't in the clear on this one, regardless of home many Russian live there.

Could it be that by occupying georgia Russia is secretly trying to pave a road of support towards Iran, what with the US eyeing down Iran as its next target of coagulated bad guy.
