For $200 it should come with a DVD RW drive at least. Any USB ports? And the Brand Name?

I think it's worth 200 bucks, you could buy a decent HDD and run it as a HTP server at the very least.

Try and get it off him for less than $200 bucks, then strip it, and sell each part individually. Chances are you will be able to make a profit, even if the comp is rather old.

If you don't want to do that, then I'm sure it could be of some use. What are the full specs of the comp?

it'll play some games

the x1300 though a very basic card will play games

get him down to 150 then its a good deal

I dont know what mobo etc it has but if it has and 800Mhz FSB it will support the dual core d805/d820 and then it will fly

other wise meh its still a PC that can run notepad & paint

You could just use it as a media center PC. I have and old HP with a 1.6ghz CPU, 512md of ram and shitty integrated graphics that i use with my projector for a media center PC. It never hurts to have a shitty PC lying around. You could even use it specifically for torrents so if you do get a virus it's not on your main PC.
