Re: Fast Food Employment
try to get into trade school. Anything that there is a demand for or that real intelligence and good memory is required, either that or find something which requires a strong physical body, fuck fast food entirely. It's not worth the pay. I did the dunkin donuts bit for a while - waste of my time. I find it amazing with no expenses back then I still managed to spend 800 a month.
Really, even in the end if you don't work for the greatest company in the world, there's much better ways to get a paycheck than feeding fat obese ignorant fucks who will make you miserable for little pay. Get into school, ANY kind of training, for ANYTHING and put it on your resume, go to temp agencies. I wish I had realized a lot of these things when I was 19... but then again the way people are theyll want you to work at a shitty company until you're 23-25 so they know your balls have been broken and what not. Just tough it out, work hard, leave with a good record and then find a better job: at least that way you won't have a bad reference, which is important.

Re: Fast Food Employment
I'm a Junior in H.S., and I have pretty good grades, I'm not doing this as a career.
I think you get 90% off of everything, which means that your just covering the actual cost of food, not the jacked up prices.

Re: Fast Food Employment
I worked at Sonic for a year and a half when I was in high school. It wasn't too bad of a first job, but I got burned a lot. Watch out for grease puddles.

Re: Fast Food Employment
Work there for a few months and find out what the pay is like/how many hours you are doing + what you are saving. Then decide if it's worth it.
Why are you working there? is it for spending money or saving money? This is the major question that'll decide if you like working there or not.

Pizza boy is the only food related job I think I would ever consider.
