Yeah, you already know what this thread is about. I'd like to see what everyone's thoughts are on the supposed apocalyptic date of December 21, 2012. Do YOU think the Mayans, Nostradamus, as well as some other reputable sources, are correct when they assume this date?

I think something epic will happen that day, simply because it can't just be coincidence that all these people from different time periods and locations guessed the same exact day of the same exact year. Whatever happens may not be apocalyptic, but anything that goes on that day will certainly mindfuck everyone who knows about the prophecy.

And I do believe the Bible Code can be interpreted to get the date, but I refute the Bible Code personally.

Chinese, Egyptians, and Mayans arrived at that exact date independently of one another. Coincidence? Perhaps . . .

Here's a thought. Everyone noticed the same shit in the sky, and based their calendars on it. The universe is cyclical, and the stars they based the calendar on are coming full circle, and nobody knew what would happen with those particular time telling stars once they come into alignment. Since they didn't know, the calendars all end. Of course they were stupid, and assumed that if they can't tell time anymore, the world must end. No conspiracy at all. However, humans are fucking dumb, and the anticipation of this stupid event will play on enough people's minds that it will cause a slowly stirring panic. This will likely increase attentions, and self fulfilling prophecies will be a plenty. If we all live our lives like the world is going to end soon, it will.

People were more open to the Universal Spirit, and based their Spiritual Calendrics off of that, not the material illusion of planets and stars.
No, it's going somewhere, I'm quite sure of that.
It's an Ascending Spiral of Spiritual Energy which is setting the emergent property of evolution up for a phase shift, which will then allow some of us (depending on yr position of self realization) to Ascend to the realm of time/space, which is like a lucid dream.
Of course this isn't the end of the dream, it's more like waking up in a new one with the understanding that you are still dreaming.
Although some may Ascend even further and awake from the dream altogether.
Some will stay behind in 3D and probably survive for millions of years, but since they have yet to increase their understanding of the meaning of Being-Consciousness-Bliss, their physical vehicles will deteriorate, and nothing they have gained through their material sciences will be able to save them. Realizing they are doomed to extinction, but not understanding the cause, they will return to our time and try to fix the mistake, but really they are only increasing the damage. These are the ancestors of people like Bush and Cheney who survive in the underground bases, while many of the particle motions they caused, continue to interact with the countless other particle motions in this self organizing sand pile.
