I only drink beer now.

I've gone through copious amounts of hard liquor in my day, but I've almost entirely switched over to beer.

Mainly because I have stomach problems (an ulcer from what I understand), and it's just brutal on it, even when combined with most non-alcoholic mixtures. (Medically, I'm probably not supposed to drink at all in my condition, but meh, gotta do what you gotta do...

Another reason is because when I drink hard liquor, I tend to go a bit too far, too fast, and I have a bit of a record for stupid/embarrassing behavior when I'm too drunk. I like being able to control (more or less) my alcohol intake. Beer allows me to do that to some extent.

However, one thing I try to always keep stocked in my freezer for the occasional shot is good ol' Jägermeister.

I am the exact same way with hard liquor it always turns in to shot after shot and before you know it you are blacked out.

Back when I did drink hard liquor in relatively large quantities, several times a week, I would usually prefer either rum or whiskey when mixing. If shots, then either whiskey or tequila. I really don't like vodka anymore (barely did to begin with)...

Other than that though, I was never really a liquor connoisseur, despite how much I consumed the stuff.

Rum is a real mans drink... I fucking love rum..

I can't stand gin, it gives me mad vertigo, I get drunk way too quick off gin. I don't know what it is about gin but it just doesn't agree with me.


Also vodka, I've drank 2 pints with hydro's and I must say I haven't been this drunk in awhile.

Vodka seems to be the only hard liquor that agrees with me,tequila and whiskey makes me sick or act wild..as far as beer budwieser,budlight,and select ftw,least favorite would have to be busch.

Vodka as a mixer because it mixes with almost anything and doesn't taste too strong.

Tequila and Goldschlager straight because they go down well in shots.

I don't like Rum, too overpowering, both as a mixer and straight.

Blended whisky is ok with coke or lemonade and i'll sometimes take a single malt whisky straight with a little water if the occasion calls for it.

On lighter forms of alcohol i'm partial to some pear cider, particularly Kopparberg, on account of it going down like water and putting me into a nice mellow drunken state. Corona and Miller are also acceptable.

Well not if you only weight 140 like me......also drinking heavy beers like Budweiser or Heineken helps a lot. You can get pretty fucked off 6 - 8 beers. Plus I don't like being so fucked up off hard liquor because I will drink too much and be retarded then puke in the morning.

amaretto is made from almonds, so it isn't a coffee type drink. Having said that I enjoy coffee type drinks. To each his own I guess

rum is my favorite drink, particularly capt. morgan, but i have to be careful because its so smooth i can kill a fifth without hardly thinking about it and end up nearly dying. its shit for mixing though, but good straight or on the rocks.
vodka is only good in martinis.
beer is alright but malt liquor is far superior. mickeys or OE 800. mix it with sparks and you're all set.

I got wrecked at metro's the other day (If there's anyone here from cardiff, you'll know what I'm on about, but that's unlikely :))... anyways I was abducted and taken to 10ftTall and fed copious volumes of a vanilla flavoured rum called "sailor jerry" I think.

It was good.

But usually... I like to keep it simple. I don't mind a bit of lager but it gets too much after a while, considering the amount of liquid you need to consume to get drunk. I have never and will never like the taste of vodka, but I can make myself drink it (which is sufficient), and, in moderation, it seems to give the least dirty hangover of the spirits.

But then you experience the opposite side of the "volume of liquid" problem; it takes so little vodka to get shithoused that, by the time you've strawpedoed a 70cl bottle of stolichnaya, you suddenly lose the ability to breathe.

All in all, I think a successful night's drinking all comes down to a well-prepared "pre-lash". Whether that be a pizza and a game of centurion/100Club, or a bottle of wine via the method of "screw the dealer". That way, you're already halfway there by the time you get out. I have found that if I get to a club sober, the group loses faith in the whole concept and drinks aggressively in an attempt to remedy the situation, which more often than not results in vom/fights/hospital/all of the above.

God I love drinking games.
