Ok this will get me abuse but in the pages of abuse there may be a bit of advice.

Ok I havent smoked this stuff in months and theres an unofficial class reunion coming up soon and basically theres a good chance of someone ripping out a joint and smoking.

Problem: I have a new (and good) job for a few months now. Since I work in a hospital I get free vaccinations. The problem is that my date for blood tests to see what vaccinations I've had (and what I need) is six days after this class reunion.

I do know that detectable cannabis residue remains in certain tissues in the body for a while, and well this job means enough to me that I'm not going to be directly smoking anything that night. But if I'm in the room with the vapour, what chance is there of this being picked up in the lab blood tests??

I really dont want any risk of losing this job due to second hand cannabis smoke and I need to know how paranoid I need to be about it. Is it ok to stay in the room with others smoking or would I be better off leaving while others are smoking? (I have no trouble telling them why and they'll be ok with it).

Any ideas?

Well it depends on how ventilated the room is,dont go hotboxing yourself thats probably worse than actually smoking in yourself.Try not inhale to much smoke..it may or may not show in your system but dont risk it.

It could stay in your system, but if it's unavoidable, although it's not, just follow some of the many "Pass a drug test" files and such. But like the guy above said, just don't inhale the smoke.

Aye. If they're not looking for drugs, they're not going to find them. A test for antibodies and the like will not show up any fun-time metabolites.

If your job doesn't do random drug screenings you'll be fine. They don't look for things in your blood/urine unless specified. It does cost money, as I'm sure you know, and if they have reason to think you've been toking, I doubt they'll screen you.

I don't think they will test for drugs unless it is a drug test.

Its not like they will "stumble" across traces of drugs while checking what you have been vaccinated with.

Firstly, the quantity of cannabinoids that you are exposed to will be very low. Infact, it will be far too low for any drug test to pick up on. I mean, you don't get addicted to nicotine by standing in a room with a smoker, do you?

And secondly, as many others have said, if they ain't lookin', they ain't gonna find squat!

but that doesnt matter, since you're just being tested for vaccinations they wouldnt detect it if you were high at the time of the test. Drug testing costs money - they're not going to do it unless its required, and if they test you they have to tell you they're testing you.
