I don't know what people are worried about. My power to ban people hasn't changed much. I've always been able to infract and ban anybody who broke the rules - any mod can.

If anything it's better for those who might get infracted by me since I can now set a ban for any length of time and not use what the infractions dictate.

Meaning if I have to give out a defacing totse infraction, I can now set it to 3 days if I want, and not the 30 days the infraction normally would trigger.

As for locking threads, I don't plan to do much of that except in forums I already were modding. Each forum already has very capable mods. I'll only be stepping in if there is a spam attack or other such emergency and now forum mods around.

Well I don't know who's been locking everything, but it seems alot of that is going on. Vilbe and Theta have been closing alot of threads for obvious and good reasons, but others I don't understand.

Prob just testing there new mod powers, but they could at least give an explination for closing a thread if they take the time to close a good post.

Anyway... enjoy, I'm sure you'll all get tired of closing rediculous stuff, but don't close the worthwhile ones

Mods have been able to delete threads since day one.

When we switched to VB though we were only able to soft delete - regular users can't see the thread, but mods of the forum and Admins can still see and undelete them.

Super mods and admins can hard delete - which means once it's gone it's gone.

Don't worry, I rarely use hard delete. Only for things like spam attacks or CP or something like that.
