So, I'm sitting here scraping my pipe again, and I've got a tiny bit of powdery crappy resin... There certainly APPEARS to be more but it's at fuck all akward angles, and I can't find my paperclip...

Any suggestions on how to get the maximum yeild out of pipes and stems? My pipe is metal (ya I know), but suggestions on how to scrape glass ones are good too. I learned the hard way that shattering the pipe doesn't yeild hardly any resin, but a bunch of brown, fairly unusable tiny glass shards all over the place.

Also any tips on getting as high as possible with the resin? Like this powdery crap, if you add a tiny drop of water, it'll turn into a ball more easily. Balled resin always gets more hits off it but I'm not too sure about the quality compared to one big puff of powder resin smoke... opinions?

Jesus fucking Christ.... Its not that fucking hard. Get a paper clip and scrape the pipe until resin collects and roll it into a big ass ball with your fingers. When you have a fat ball of resin put it in the bowl of your pipe/bong and smoke that shit.

Use a lighter to get the part of the pipe you're scraping pretty hot. Of course, use paper towels or something to hold the pipe so you don't burn your hands.

It'll make the resin a lot easier to scrape out with a paper clip. Every time you get a nice sized ball on the paper clip, hold it over the pipe you're going to put it in (or whatever you might store it in) and use a lighter to heat the clip up near the resin ball so it'll get hot again and just fall off.

Or you could soak it in iso alcohol for a while, which should remove most of the resin after you shake it a bit. Pour the alcohol/resin solution onto a plate or something similar, and let the alcohol evaporate completely.

Smoking resin is only good if you can make a decent sized ball. Usually takes a few pipes/bongs to get one worth smoking. I've always just gotten the bowl a little wet, and scrape it on a clean surface with a paperclip. Water helps get it out easier, and then of course to roll it in a ball. Not really a technique... just scrape it out until you have as much as you need.

You won't get quite as high as you would with pot itself, but it lasts a long time and you can get a lot of hits off a nice resin ball. Fun for marathon smoking with lots of people. Usually a mellow body high, good for getting stoned and fooling around. Lots of people are opposed to res smoking... they call it dirty or whatever, but it works.

Don't bother trying to scrape it. Just smoke it through the choke or bowl. You shouldn't be smoking that dry shit anyways smoke the oil.

heres my regular pipe cleaning and resin collecting method...

get some iso alcohol, the highest alcohol content you can, 70% will work, 90% will work better..

pour a bit of alcohol into the pipe, cover holes, and shake... pour alcohol/resin liquid into a container... repeat until the pipe is pretty clean... the alcohol should easily disolve alot of the shit...

if you dont give a fuck about the final product, evaporate the alcohol and water off it and smoke... if you want to clean out the ash and burnt bits of weed sucked through you can filter it through a paper towel or something this will turn your black looking liquid into more of an amber colored liquid... evaporate and smoke...

resin just sort of melts when heat is applied, i like to take a bit of weed and mix it in with the evaporated material... or throw it into a vaporizer.... you could put a bit of ash into the bottom of your bowl and then smoke it too...
