Default toad venom?

has anybody ever actually tried extracting Bufotenin/ DMT from toads? ( or other animals with DMT) it seems like alot of work, but if the yields were decent enough, i might look into it.

anybody experienced in this matter?

Well, 5-MeO-DMT is what's found in the toads, and I greatly prefer n,n-DMT to 5-MeO. Plus, n,n-DMT is much easier to extract yourself, as there are more than a dozen DMT containing plants that you can extract it from, and it's a fairly simple process.

If I recall correctly, the toads are quite expensive, and fairly difficult to obtain.

But anyway, to answer your question:

To start, you need to milk the toad's venom glands. You stroke the toad under it's chin, and the toad's defense mechanism will kick in and he'll start producing and secreting venom.

After you've collected the venom, and have dried it, I believe it's ready for consumption. Although you'll probably want to get a second opinion on that.

It takes a while for the toad to refill the venom, so it's not something you can do several times in a month.

Easier to obtain, I'm pretty sure some vendors actually sell dried toad skins, which have the same chemicals.

Hope that helps a little.

i actually knew about most of the stuff you posted, but thanks tho, it was a good post.

i was just wondering on yields. and as for availabilty of the toads, the town over from me has a few of them, semi-decent price depending on yields.

It would appear as though I answered everything BUT you're question :p

As far as yields go, I don't really have any knowledge on that subject. I imagine it's a decent amount considering the amount of venom you collect, but I'm probably wrong since I don't have a clue on the quantity of psychoactive chemicals in the venom.

I'm sure this isn't what you're looking for, but try google. I didn't have any luck with a quick glance, but maybe you'll have better luck.

I'd say just try n,n-DMT extractions from plant matter. Easier process, higher yield, and much easier to obtain.

Unless of course you want the toad for the novelty aspects.

If JoePedo sees this thread he'll probably have a rather informative response.

If I remember right, mimosa hostilis root bark can have around 1.5% dmt content, depending on season and how healthy the plant was. It also contains very few plant fats and is easy to obtain.

DMT > 5-meO-DMT
