Default just what the hell is in "legal bud"?

Just curious if anyone knows exactly what the ingredients in legal bud are specifically, as most sites are extremely vague. Obviously, I know that 110% of these wouldn’t come anywhere close to being anything at all like weed, but I remain curious about what makes them attractive enough to people for them to sell so much. Gullibility and selective thinking probably figure into it.

Spice Gold is the only "legal alternative to cannabis" which is worth buying. It really does get you high.

I was at the local head shop with my friend and they had some "Sativah" next to the tobaccos. My friend insisted on buying some and it was dirt cheap so I didn't object; IIRC it was $6/oz and we bought a half O. I ended up throwing it out and using the bag for weed. Yes, it had discernible effects, but it wasn't even worth the three bucks I paid. It's smoke tasted like shit and the main effects were headache, dizziness, and irritating dysphoria. Some of the ingredients I remember in this specific mix were skullcap, blue lotus, and a little bit of salvia d.

just what the hell is in "legal bud"?

It is a bud (flower or growth) from a plant which is legal.

Just curious if anyone knows exactly what the ingredients in legal bud are specifically

See above. The plant(s) in question varies wildly.

Obviously, I know that 110% of these wouldn’t come anywhere close to being anything at all like weed, but I remain curious about what makes them attractive enough to people for them to sell so much.

Idiocy.

There are a number of charming plants out there, but you will always get better results at lesser cost from doing your own research and sourcing your own plant.

You don't (if you have half a brain cell) accept "random mystery cocktails" in your allegedly-MDMA tabs... so why would you accept it from a smoking herbal blend?

Read. Know. Then, toke.

It's a blend of various plants and plants extracts which works surprisingly well, even if the smell/taste of vanilla is overpowering.

Most "legal buds" are a bunch of different plants pressed together to look like buds. The best herbal mixes I've tried are the ones sold on Iamshaman shop.
They tell you exactly what's in it and it's not packed together like a bud.
Some of them are actually quite good mixed with tobacco or weed and they're not badly priced either.

I'm pretty sure a source is a source whether it's a new "legal" drug, a quasilegal drug or an illegal drug.

U.S. FEDERAL LEGAL SUMMARY
Papaver somniferum
REGULATED - Yes
STATUS - Scheduled
SCHEDULE - Schedule II

Opium poppies are specifically scheduled under U.S. Law. The Controlled Substances Act, Schedule II (http://www.erowid.org/psychoactives/law/law_fed_sched2.shtml), lists "Opium poppy and poppy straw" as well as "Concentrate of poppy straw (the crude extract of poppy straw in either liquid, solid or powder form which contains the phenanthrene alkaloids of the opium poppy)".

Opium and its constituent chemicals are listed in Schedule II and some derivatives (such as Heroin) are listed in Schedule I.

There is some confusion in the law, however, because opium-producing poppies are widely grown around the US and Canada and the opium poppy seeds are omnipresent in cooking, breads, and deserts. The grey-blue poppy seeds sold in virtually every grocery store in the US contain low levels of opiates (not psychoactive at amounts used in cooking). Poppy pods are widely used in dry flower arrangements.

Law enforcement in the US is somewhat inconsistent about these plants, although there are continual attempts to try to stop them from being sold or grown. If poppies are grown as sources for opiates, there is no question that it violates the CSA. If poppies are purely grown for ornamental purposes, their legal position is somewhat less clear cut, since they are so widely grown and available.

Opium for legal commercial pharmaceutical use is grown with special government licenses around the world, although very little of it is grown inside the US. Large scale underground opium poppy growing is reported to take place in Mexico, Afghanistan, and many other countries in Asia. Much of the produced opium is converted into heroin (http://www.erowid.org/chemicals/heroin/heroin.shtml) because it is easier to ship and commands a higher price than raw opium.

Illegal. Just largely unenforced. But it could cause legal issues for totse, so its a no go. LEGAL bud on the other hand happens to be legal and therefore you can post links.

Well, yes... and I can pull pictures of naked babies out of a number of parenting books.

My chances before a jury would still be erratic at best if I was found with fifteen terabytes of random naked babies on my hard drive.

Poppy straw is in a similar grey area. You can by them in a craft or floral store, yet they're technically a CII - the poppy straw specifically noted in the legislation.

Similarly, lysergic acid amide is a CIII in US law - and thanks to some charming precedents involving psilocybe mushrooms, this makes any living thing containing it a CIII - and yet, you can buy them for your garden, or even sell fuckloads of seeds to nurseries and such... and just for more shits and giggles, glass coffeepots are fucking illegal as shit in Texas (which outlawed ALL borosilicate glass to fight the "war on drugs," fucking geniuses).... but, stores still sell them. Despite their unequivocable illegality in that state.

So, it's sort of a "grey area," which is very murky and hazy... and to make it even more fucked up, the US has an analog act which not only makes substances with a "structural or pharmacological similarity" to a CI or CII (which would include a number of amino acids, several OTC medications, a handful of spices, and more) itself a CI...

...but it also includes purported similarities. Which, stupidly enough, means that if I write a piece of bad poetry that starts with "&Totse is like a big nug of hemp"... that posession of any pages from &totse in your cache would get you sent up for posession of a schedule I controlled substance, regardless of how amazingly fucktardedly stupid that is.

Speaking of "fucktardedly stupid," the US rulings on "mixtures containing..." suggest that you'd be charged with the full weight of your computer as a CI, rather than just the weight of the energy required to set the magnetic record to a specific state.

I hate the fucking government.

I just read a little bit on the spice gold "bud" or whatever and it supposedly does work. I went to websites where you could order it but they don't ship to the USA which is stupid because I would give it a shot because I'm getting drug tested for probation. So reject do you know any sites that ship spice gold to the US?

Poppy straw and poppy pods are too different things.

ZING!

Poppy straw has no "legal" use, poppy pods however are used for flower arrangements and as a decorative flower.

It's not illegal too buy whole dried poppy heads, it's illegal too crush them up, that's what poppy straw is.

dailup etc.

DONT WORRY ABOUT IT.
Default Re: just what the hell is in "legal bud"?

Ive bought these before, and they are just pressed garbage. Ive smoked legal herbs by themselves, and compared to that of the smoke/blends you buy is a BIG BIG DIFFERENCE. Even in appearance. I can grab all the herbs THEY CLAIM are in their smoking mix, press them together and they wont look anything like they are selling....so that makes me think WHATS REALLY is in their mixes? Do they stage their appearance of their bud with other coloring/solids?

Salvia is about the only thing id mark a * by in the ingredients.
