| Network (in)Security Interesting hacks and cracks. Info on firewalls, TCP/IP, encryption, networks, and security. The ins and outs of the phone system, caller services, how things work, what's illegal and what's not, cellular phones, beepers, telephony legislation, the PUC, ISDN, taps, who's listening, and switches. Talking about phones, hacking systems, technical advice, and such is completely LEGAL in the United States -- it's covered by the First Amendment. What's illegal is conspiracy to commit a crime. So if you say something like "Meet me at 2am so we can crack a can" or "I changed my cell phone's number myself" you are criminally liable. Stating "You can crack a can by doing thus-and-so" or "If you wanted to change a cell phone's number, you could do it like so" is perfectly OK. Posting passwords, calling card numbers, or credit card numbers is forbidden on this network. Posting such info will get you booted off the net. |

flv hunt
There's a website that features 1 episode in flash of their show a day and I'm trying to collect them all. There are 98 episodes and I've found 78 by simply looking at the page source and noticing they were titled 1a to 39a and 1b to 39b; however, I can't find out what the last 20 are named. The directory will just redirect me and I've tried using programs like flare, tamper data and websnake with no luck (not really adept at website fuckery). Anyone know how I could track them down?

Re: flv hunt
I'm afraid not. They're hiding good. I'll get redirected if I don't type in the exact location ex: videos/media takes me to the root folder, videos/media/1a.flv will give me the open/save box

Give me a link of what you want to get. They can't be hidden all that much.

Re: flv hunt
Ok but first to clear any misconceptions these are for my daughter.
http://www.peepandthebigwideworld.com/videos/media/
After media is 1a.flv to 39a.flv and 1b.flv to 39.flv
I know there is also show_open.flv or something but I don't care about that.
So anyway thats 78 out of 98 episodes.

Re: flv hunt
I'm not asking for anyone to find them for me I just want a program recommendation or what I should do to go about locating them. I know they're not intending to hide them well since each episode value shows up in the page source (using flashvars)

I don't actually- I'm just assuming. The first one I found was labeled 27a so I figured it would start at 1a.
When it ended at 39a I went to 1b to 39b. 1c didn't work. So no, I have no idea if they are there. I just want to find the index that lists what episodes the sites flash player grabs or whatever. The farthest I got was besides using everything from burp to nmap was checking robots.txt and got nothing. I couldn't find the existing flv's through any means either besides the value given to each currently playing episode in the html.

Try writing a perl script that calls wget on every possible URL (within the bounds we already have, of course)?
