I don't know if it has to do with the fact that I'm not exactly an 'adult' yet, therefore possesing the apparent inability to taste that it requires to enjoy your lovely drinks, but I just don't understand how I could ever stand to stomach the stuff (besides, of course, for that genuine warm and fuzzy feeling )

Was it like this for everyone? Do people inherently and automatically detest the taste of rotten fruit and vegetables until they reach that magical age? I'd hate it if I couldn't stand the only thing I'm actually looking forward to be 21 for (damn, should've stayed in Canada, M I Rite? ).

Start small.

Yes, it tastes vile.

Unless you get your act together man you're going to end up being one of them half-men that stand around sipping blueberry flavoured vodka premixes and the like. If you are entirely incapable of enjoying the finer tastes of booze then you can take the loophole, which is premixed bourbons and whiskeys which will give you some credit back. Mix you're own to. That is always a way out.

Really though, learn to enjoy beer and liqour. It is wonderful stuff.

Well, if you want to drink straight liquor, you're going to need some balls. They'll come with time. I haven't had Syrah wine (Shiraz), but...most wines are quite good, especially with a meal.

Anyways, your best bet for liquor would be rum or vodka. Rum is relatively sweet, and vodka goes well with just about every type of mixer.

I actually don't quite mind beer so much; in fact, I rather like it. Most whiskeys actually might be fine for me if it weren't for the terrible burn.

Yeah, yeah, I'll work on growing those balls....

Only thing I dont insanely like is beer as its bitter ..
But any spirits are great neat for me ..

The way I grew accustomed to beer was at the start I only beer bonged it, or as a breakfast beer, you don't even realize that you don't mind the taste anymore.

Or just stick to premixed, they taste nice.

The more you drink it, the more you will like it.
