Default The Village

yeah i know, i know. this is a shit movie with plenty of holes and bullshit going on. but here's what i don't get:

so all the adults know the village exists in modern times? because that wasn't clear to me, but it's not like someone could be born in modern times, be hit on the head or something, and moved into the village and told it was the 17th century. how the fuck are they living in some wild life preserve anyway, completely undetected by people for so long?

and while we're on the subject of m night. dingdong, wasn't signs also full of a lot of shit and holes as well? fucking water killing aliens...who are invading a planet that is 75% water...why? then what kind of organisms are they, that water is poison? what are they made up of and wtf do they eat?

m. night shamalyan is such a piece of shit it infuriates me as shown by this emoticon.

The adults were all wealthy (or something) and they put all their money towards that preserve property (and guards to protect their privacy) so they could live their lives and create a generation that could live in a location without the stresses of modern city life.

I thought The Village had a pretty good twist at the end.. but anyway, the elders knew what was really going on, I dare say there are only 3 generations in the film, so maybe they were only there for what.. 30-40 years? Like you said, there are many flaws in the film, so I doubt there is much of an answer for you.

Just goes to show, there is always one little twat who has to go one further and ends up fucking everything up for everyone..

the movie itself was ok. definitely could've been done better so as not to have huge plot holes. i just hate it because i know m. night shamalamadingdong thinks he's such a genius and mastermind for coming up with these gay twists when in reality he's such a gay idiot. and yea "omg director signature - i play a small part in evry 1 of ma films!111" fuck him.
