I hate working
Especially when you have no reason to.
I work 8 hours a day and I feel like I'm wasting my life. I have nothing to work for. I still live with my parents and I have everything I need. I'm 17 with $18,000. Purely from working every week of every month and buying nothing. Sure, it's great to have money, but what's the point if I'm not enjoying it? It seems like my whole life revolves around it, when I don't even need it right now.

Re: I hate working
The fact that you hate to work doesn't exactly set you apart from the rest. Almost all of us hate to work. Get used to it buddy, unless you're independently wealthy. It sucks, but this is the rest of your life you're staring at. Go to (or stay in) school so you won't have to work too hard.

So go spend some of it and enjoy it then perhaps? By 'work' do you mean 'studied by doctors who are hoping to find the cure for Downs Syndrome'?

Re: I hate working
Saving is good if you are saving for something. Spending is good if you have something to spend it on. It's an interesting conundrum if you are young and don't really have a clue.
One good option is if the job you are working at isn't one you enjoy/could get again easily. Take some time off. Use that time to do something constructive or as they say 'find yourself' (yeah you're 17, so what),

Re: I hate working
You've built up a huge financial base for somebody your age. I wouldn't complain too loudly.

Re: I hate working
You could look for a job that you enjoy. Pay doesn't seem to be a problem for you so if there is a job that looks interesting, but with slightly lower pay then take it. Everyone works 8 hours per day so get used to it.
Alternatively you could shoot people
