The size of even the largest computer form factor WTX is only 14 inches by 16.5 inches, They do have kits and prebuilt cases that allow you to grow inside a computer case, while it seems like a good idea, in reality the lighting usually used for these cases is minimal compared to what you would actually use to produce a bountiful yield.
Lets assume for a minute that you splurged and got a case that was somehow 3ft tall by 14 inches wide
First of all you have to consider your Pot size, assuming your not going to be doing a hydro setup (DWC, Ebb n Flo) you have to take your pot size(the container not the plant) into consideration, The rule of thumb is for every foot of plant you have 1 gallon of soil, so lets say you have a 1 gallon pot sitting in your grow cab, that will take up at least a good 6-8 inches, leaving you with a total of 2 ft clearance for physical plant space.
Now your going to need a strain that isn't very bushy, If your growing in a 14" wide area then your buds will be very poor quality if you have a really bushy strain, you may want to do you own research on this if you actually decide to go through with it. (I suggest looking into a lowryder strain)
Now your also going to have to trim your plant due to space constraints, so I would lastly reccomend you educate yourself on general cannibis growing and maybe try a few times outdoors to get a little experience under your belt before you go spending your money on something that will take 3-4 months of your time and probably $600 of your "hard earned" dollars and only yeild you a quarter ounce dried.
Just my opinon

Re: Hollow computer tower?
It clearly says Form Factor, I know they make huge cases but the point of my post was
Limited grow space + Limited light distribution = Severely Diminished Yields
I'm not saying it wont work, or isn't feasible, I just wouldn't go about doing it like this.

Re: Hollow computer tower?
Micro Computer Case grows are decent at best, even if you know what you are doing. You definitely will need a cool tube (if you are using a small HPS like a 70W HPS) and most certainly a carbon filter if you want to remain stealth, which is probably why you are growing in a small space like a computer case to begin with....
It CAN be done, but you're so much better off building your own grow cab custom, this can be anything from 2 rubbermaids on top of each other or just a small utility cabinet converted....
You're going to need lights obviously, and it CAN be done with CFL's if you know what you are doing and already have a set grow style... [LST, SOG, SCROG]
You need and exhaust fan or two and you can either have a passive intake or active intake for your cab.
If you decide on passive intake, you need to make sure your intakes are twice as big as your exhaust to keep a negative pressure enviornment.
Make sure you know your strain and make sure it isn't very sativa, lol.
You should keep a seperate cab for your mom's and cloner [or however you will clone] and if you are only planning on growing from seed then good luck!! You may have / want to start your seeds straight from 12/12 if you are only growing from seed....
Personally, there are better things you can build yourself that are just as stealth, if not more, and your yields will be WORTH your time, money and energy. [see -> http://www.hg420.com/gallery/data/500/16DSCF5387-med.JPG / http://www.hg420.com/gallery/data/500/16DSCF5388-med.JPG ]

Re: Hollow computer tower?
He he, you could use those little clay ball things for your root media & use a small car 12Volt window washer pump to circulate the water.
The water dosen't need to circulate all the time .
& I got a 3d picture of some dope plants on the side of my computer.....
