What are some effective ways to prevent and/or lessen the nausea associated with drinking? Everytime I drink I vomit violently, even if I havent even drank that much, especially when I drink beer. Any help is appreciated.

guess what buddy? it's mostly mind over matter. I puked around the beginning of highschool. I NEVER puke now or even feel remotely sick from drinking except for heartburn and stomache ache the next day on extreme occasions. I can't train your mind to beat this, but you can with experience. this may sound stupid, but just DO NOT THINK ABOUT HOW GROSS IT IS. beer IS NOT gross. It's a bitter taste simply because if it were a sweet taste the sugar would get you sick faster. Enjoy the taste. This is a good suggestion for many people including myself. Though i know of a few people who when they get intoxicated and smoke often puke. You should definatly give this a chance tho op. Also you could try eating something like bread so it slows the absorption of the alcohol. But seriously just don't drink so much, its not even worth it if you get so fucked up you puke.

Remember that alcohol takes time to absorb.

Downing shots at the beginning of the party and then having nothing to drink other than beer/mixed drinks/shots will cause the alcohol to compound on itself, with metabolism being backed up at the liver (a traffic jam of sorts). You'll feel the beginning effects and your liver can metabolize those away fine, but if you're still drinking more with stuff already boiling in your stomach it's gonna hit you all at once and the next thing you know she hit the flo'

Guess what you fuck? Its not mind over matter, if you feel nauseated its because your stomach has something in it that its trying to get out. Hence vomiting, come back when you have some fucking useful information and you can make a real contribution and not just argue about it like a child.

Drink vodka coolers or vodka mixed with fruit juices. WKD the blue cooler is the best. If you actually vomit from WKD, you MUST commit suicide. It doesn't taste like alcohol at all, it's so awesome. Vodka is a neutral spirit, essentially alcohol and water. It doesn't have the toxic congeners that make you sick and the juice, especially really acidic citrus juice, will mask the alcohol.

dramamine or ginger root, fresh and powder can be found at most stores. Ginger works well with no side effects.
