Default recommendations for chemistry study for interest and college (textbook or non)

I'll be attending college on the 25th for a chemistry degree (although spending your entire freshman year taking pre-required classes is bullshit. I'm paying for my fucking education, all the grammer & english I'll need I learned in middle school. literature on the other hand, go ahead: stupid people need intellectual culture) and I wanted to do know if anyone had any recommendations for books regarding chemistry study for my own interest until they give me a fucking book either next year or whatever. I'm not sure if I want to study organic or non yet, but any books advised will be greatly appreciated.

Fuck you dopamine fending asshole. (Im not even implying any drug use, you just think your shit doesn't stink)

Chemistry is no easy task.

Assuming you remember evrything from higschool chem, you will need to take a year of inorganic, or basic organic.

Only then you can take regular Orgo, which doesn't really get you far beyond the practical phase.

And trust me.... it is Difficult.Mad

was the dopamine comment directed towards me? <.< anyway if there aren't any recommendations then at least I got this much info thanks. :) I wasn't being a jerk I was joking and being sarcastic. (although to the gullible eye reading through some old textfiles and trolling/joke threads on here one would think otherwise) no offense was meant :D oh yeah I know it'll be difficult, but its something I'm interested in so that'll make the work easier to do.
