Store Invasion
Note: Hypothetical Role Playing
I'm hoping to rob $25,000+ of electronics from an office depot, best buy, or circuit city at night. (I won't say which) My friend is getting a job there. I've done very little research at this point so I'm planning to make it a long term project. I'll be reading all the material I can find.
I know it may be riskier compared to other schemes that pay out comparable amounts but I've always wanted to do this. Has anyone else done something similar? I'm already familiar with the best ways to sell.
Edit: I also have three stolen iphones. Can I safely hack them and use another service provider, no problem?

Re: Store Invasion
they have someone watching cameras at all times, except from 2am-store open on mondays (at my local best buy).wear dark green to blend in with night vision. make an escape route in the wall/ceiling because if you are spotted they can lock all the doors.

Re: Store Invasion
the title of this thread gave me a different idea. if you went into a store that was open 24 hours (like a super walmart for example) with a route and what merchandise you wanted planned out, and took enough people with enough cars, you could all get out of there and go different ways to completely throw the employees and the police off. break your group up and send two people in at a time, get a cart and act like you're casually shopping and whatnot, and then once everyone has their shit, make one big break for the door, running and screaming and acting crazy as hell, out numbering the skeleton crew night shift. then out in the parking lot, quickly dump your shit into the 3+ cars and drive off in 3+ directions to 3+ safe houses. hmm.

They have cameras all over the parking lot. They will get all your license plates. Take a rickshaw so you can load the back up and not have a license plate.

Re: Store Invasion
if license plates are a problem, fucking take them off or modify the numbers with some tape beforehand. and do this at a store like at least a county over from where you live, so you'll never have to go back there.

Wow, I like this idea. Overwhelm them. Pretty sweet. Perhaps do multiple spots as well, to split the police force up.

Actually not a bad idea, rent U-haul using false name, load up 10 shopping carts of stuff, have everyone do a push out at the exact same time (maybe hi-jack the intercom) and just pushall the shopping carts into the back. use the ramp that comes with the truck. have the pushes stay there while the driver speeds away to another parking lot, ditch the carts and load the godds into other vehicles. Return the truck quick before the plate numbers get out. Or cover/remove the plates as said earlier

STAFFORD — Welcome to the neighborhood.
Best Buy opened its doors in the Stafford Park development on Friday morning, but two days later, $84,000 worth of merchandise was pilfered from the store by what authorities characterized as "an organized criminal group" that specifically targets the electronics giant.
The burglars, who remain at large, apparently broke into the store through a rear fire door at about 10:25 p.m. Sunday, Lt. Thomas Dellane said. They smashed open display cases and made off with a valuable booty of video cameras, iPods, GPS units and digital cameras.
"The stuff they took, it was all small," Dellane said.
Police responded to the store, located at 215 Stafford Park Blvd., after receiving a report that the store's alarm had been activated.
The smash-and-grab nature of the heist is similar to several other robberies at Best Buy stores in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Connecticut, Stafford police said. Store locations previously targeted in the Garden State include Bridgewater, Rockaway and Howell.
At the Howell location, which was hit May 15, a four-man crew cleaned out a large volume of electronics in a matter of minutes, police said. Like the Sunday night job, they pried open a rear door and specifically targeted items locked in glass cases, which they smashed open with tools.
Howell police described the men as professionals acting out a specific plan that surveillance footage seemed to suggest involved splitting up the store into sections for each to raid.
Dellane confirmed there is surveillance footage from Sunday night's heist, but declined to describe the scenes depicted because the investigation remains open.
One aspect of the footage Dellane was willing to publicize was the presence of two male juveniles riding their bikes near the store prior to the burglary. They are not suspects, Dellane said, but officers are looking to speak with them about anything they may have seen in the area.
While police said the crime fits the circumstances surrounding other robberies dating back to at least the beginning of the year, Best Buy spokeswoman Dawn Bryant said Tuesday that the chain would not confirm any relationship between the crimes or discuss details of past break-ins.
"I have no data to confirm that," she said. "I do know that we can't go into a lot of specifics about the security in our stores."
Best Buy is one of three businesses within Stafford Park to open thus far. Costco opened its doors in June and Target had its grand opening this week. There have been no other robberies or issues with security thus far, said Evelyn Francisco, a spokeswoman for the 370-acre, mixed-use development that eventually will boast more than 650,000 square feet of retail space.
