Hamburger Helper
So we were shopping at the new Walmart superstore and I saw some so I picked up a box. I decided on lasagna since I wanted to try something new but not make a big leap into a flavour i've never tried. It ended up being more saucy than I would have thought but still pretty decent for what it is. Anyone ever tried? All you do is add beef and water and voila.

Re: Hamburger Helper
I make most of my own sauces, so Hamburger Helper appears to be pretty expensive for the yield. Still, in the past, if I needed something quick and easy, Hamburger Helper was used.
The cool thing about it is that it's easy to add stuff and make it a bit more interesting.
That talking glove in their ads, though...I'd shoot that sumbitch without a second thought.

Re: Hamburger Helper
Yeah, the lasagna hamburger helper is pretty good, I havent tried any other flavor though. Also, if you like their is a boxed Pasta Roni fettucini alfredo mix that you just add in chicken and its great.
Good for a quick meal.

Re: Hamburger Helper
ugh, oh god. my mom had bought me some microwavable cheeseburger macaroni and cheese hamburger helper shit this past year for my dorm...fucking smelled like ass on the whole floor while cooking it, didn't taste too much better, and would give you horrible gas. i really can't stand to look at that little glove man or any hamburger helper shit after that.

Re: Hamburger Helper
Surprisingly good. My dad uses it way to much though, and he doesn't even get Hamburger Helper, he gets the rip off kind.
Occasionally in a pinch it's not bad, like Kraft Dinner, but you get sick of it real easy.

Re: Hamburger Helper
Just mix in some onion and Worcestershire sauce and you've got some tasty burgers.

Don't remember any commercials for it. It was much too saucy for me but I reheated some today and it was MUCH better.
