Need Help/Advice NOW
Here is what is happening my fellow Totse members. I just got a call from a police officer in my old town. He was asking me questions and such.. I gave him the old "I dunno what your talking about for everything." Anyways I told him I had to go and he told me that HE was charging me for stealing a gps unit... Okay so he claims I went into a pawn shop with my ID and tried to sell it.
Variables
1. no cameras in pawn shop
2. can this officer charge me...
3. I am like 8 hours away what should I be doing..
4. Live in canada.
5. My finger prints are not on file yet and them being on file could result in terror for me
6. this will be my first offence if i do actually get charged.. what am i looking at?
7. I am 19 years of age.
thanks for all of you that reply. this would help so much. I am shitting my pants right now I dunno why.
I think this cop is just trying to investigate me and threatening me cause its all over the fucking phone lol...

Re: Need Help/Advice NOW
We need more details, did the gps have a serial on it? Where did you steal it from? What type of questions did he ask?
If you do get called in for a hearing say a friend gave it to you. Or better yet, say you bought it on the streets and tried flipping it for a higher price.
Who knows, maybe it was a prank call?

Deny Everything.
Sell the GPS unit on Craigslist.org in the canada section for max profit.
They don't know it's stolen, it's fine. They want to intimidate you into admitting guilt. Speak nothing to them, they call you don't pick the phone up or say wrong number.
You are not under arrest, you don't have to tell the cop anything. If they keep calling, pick up and say it's harassment and you'll file a compliment and possibly may consider legal actions against them (but in no way make it in a threating voice, say "You've been calling me mister, please stop. If you don't, I'll file a compliment because this is harassment and wasting my minutes/phone time."
Now, if they ever get you into their little room/arrest you. You're a bit more fucked, but say nothing. Say you found it at a parking lot, or you got it from some black guy for 20$, they never arrest black guys .

I chuckled. Anyways, best bet I think would be to say you bought it from a random street vendor. If you say you got it from a friend, they'll obviously ask who.
Oh, and make sure your gps unit is off.

Re: Need Help/Advice NOW
was the cop from usa? I highly doubt they would bother crossing the border for a simple larceny and obtaining goods under false pretenses charge.. thats what they would have you on those two charges if its under 1000$ worth thier both misdemeanors though best bet they try to talk you into turning yourself in you never do it.
it goes away
worst bet they spend time and money for a simple larceny and obtaining goods charge to have you extradited I mean they could but these would have to be some very bored detectives to go through all that for something you would only get probation for anyway

Re: Need Help/Advice NOW
Say absolutely nothing. Anyone who suggests anything else has never been interrogated by detectives before. I've been interrogated by detectives on numerous occasions and the absolute best thing to say is NOTHING.
Detectives are liars they'll fucking mind rape you before you even fucking know it. Ya you think you're smart but I'll tell you one thing they've interrogated countless mother fuckers.
Look at it this way...
Tony Hawk has been skating for decades
You haven't
Now would you challenge tony hawk to a game of skate?
Because thats what you're doing when you talk to cops. They've been interrogating people for years. You've been interrogated a couple times.(max) Who do you think has the advantage?

Fucking exactly!!!!!
***If you already said you knew nothing about a gps unit. Do not bring anything up about it. If you do that means you were hiding shit all along. Then they'll mind rape you. Just keep fucking denying it. I got fucked in school with bullshit stories that were made up by the admins just because I brought up I was involved. FUCKING DENY EVERYTHING. DONT FUCKING TRY TO HELP THEM. THAT'S A TRAP!!!! DENY DENY DENY
