i always smoke my joints with tobacco, but ive been thinking recently, is it more healthy to use rolling tobacco or to use cigarette tobacco? what do you guys use?

I'm Australian and everybody I know puts tobacco with their weed. I find tailor made to be better to smoke with than rolling tobacco. Just seems to smoke/chop better.

smoking joints with tobacco sucks. don't do it if you can avoid it. when i smoke weed i try to inhale as deeply as possible, and when i smoke cigarettes as soon as i feel that tickle i blow it out. i wouldn't want to inhale that shit deeply. plus i find it ruins the taste of the joint and makes you not want to take big hauls off of it as much. people will tell you it helps it burn better, but if your bud is dry and you bust it up right then you don't need it. it's bullshit. the ONLY exceptions are joints of hash. then you have to mix it up with something or it wont burn well.

its good for smoking in public, but i dont know about it burning better, if its a decent amount of weed and ur smoking for 1 or 2 its probably a good idea because u need to take breaks in between puffs which means less weed lost in that amount of time were its not being toked

but i think it tastes like shit if u put too much in, although considering i smoke alone 95% of the time it would probably save me alot of money ( although i vapourize /bong more than joints or spliffs).

im from the uk and every joint i have ever smoked has contained tobacco, and ive smoked with different groups of people from 4-5 different cities. i cant afford not to! an average joint will normally contain as much weed as tobacco, if not more.

Around here its unheard of smoking weed without tobacco. normally 50:50 and we mostly smoke in bongs. This is because we are all teens and we want our weed to go as far as possible, and everyone thinks you get high with less weed when smoking with tobacco.

I find the high to be better from joints than bongs, it's not as mongy.

I try my best not to ever smoke tobacco with my weed, but if Im short on weed and I want it to go a longer way, I'll usually roll 1 or 2 joints with some tobacco, and one more with pure weed, just so I dont waste as much weed during the first few....works out pretty good most of the time. :D

I personally don't roll my joints with tobacco in them, but all of my friends do. I've found that the best "ratio" is just sprinkle enough tobacco to cover the top of your pile of busted weed, it's usually not too much, but enough to help it burn. Which is all they use it for, not to add volume to a joint, because that is fucking stupid. And can't say I've ever hit bong with tobacco in it, seems pointless to me.

im saying that with a fixed amount of weed, you can smoke 2-3 joints with tobacco, or you can smoke one joint without tobacco. smoking 2-3 joints takes longer than smoking one joint, but you still get stoned because its a fixed amount of weed.

Most users will experience a headrush if they are new to smoking tobacco or rarely smoke unfiltered cigarettes. The headrush is nice since it gives you something to feel while you're waiting for the high to kick in.

Now that being said, I have mixed some of the blunt tobacco (like strawberry swisher), to my blunts when I just didn't have enough weed to properly fill the whole blunt up, and was pleasantly suprised.

I don't smoke tobacco EVER, so I had a nice nicotine buzz going with my high.... but its no where near as great as you niggers make it out to be. Oh and, tobacco does NOT get you higher off of smaller or even the same amount of weed you'd normally use. Weed gets you high. Period. Nothing else you do, aside from loading bigger bowls and possibly smoking on a very empty stomach, will boost your high... Unless you're JoePedo and can cook up some crazy chemical cocktail to boost it... but we aren't all geniuses like that unfortunately.

I call them simple.

I find it a bit weird how Aussies smoke "spun" bongs with tobacco in them, but I don't exactly have a problem with it. It just seems a bit pointless to me, cos you're holding the flame to a bong anyway, it doesn't matter how well it burns really. Bongs aren't "harsh" to me, not in that hot, raw on the throat way, they're just a bit overwhelming and make your lungs expand loads. I rarely smoke them, and so they always hit me quite hard when I do, even though the smoke's cooler than a spliff or a pipe.

I only mix tobacco with weed/hash in joints, mainly cos well... it's totally necessary if you want a hash joint. I don't really smoke weed, but I love smoking a joint, and I smoke tobacco anyway. It doesn't faze me that much. I do agree that it "can" save using weed, but also I think that's kinda shit, cos a lot of stoners I know get "addicted" to spliffs. Not weed, not tobacco.... but both mixed together, so they end up smoking them regularly, even when they don't necessarily want to get stoned that much. A well made spliff is lovely though, but definitely an acquired taste.

I met a fair few people from the Americas (north n south) when travelling and most of them turn their noses up at smoking with tobacco. I didn't care, they made quite nice joints still, sometimes way too strong for me to smoke to relax. I'd see this Canadian guy roll up a huge fat tampon American joint, smoke it to himself and then just sit there fucking MASHED. I think the point of a spliff is it's more like a cigarette you pass around, but which still gets you pretty high. If you want more.... you make another one.

In the end people do what they want to get high. This is all fine and correct, apart from those who don't use a card roach in their joints. This is the only this I can't get my head 'round! It changes the flavour from a somewhat sickly sweet to a more savoury note.

If the ratio is good, there is little irritation of the lungs and throat, although for all i know it's probably doing more damage just less noticeable.

Yea over here in australia as previous posters were stating, everyone who's experienced in the smoking culture smokes tobbacco and weed. we call it having a 'mix'. smoking it 'straight' as we call it (just smoking weed) is almost unheard of unless your some fuckhead who has never smoked up before.

As far as bongs and pipes though, I'll usually just do it straight and then have a cig.

I usually roll spliffs that are somewhere between 1/4 to 1/2 tobacco, depending on how much weed I have and how potent it is.

I mix my weed with some herbal mix I bought cheap from a headshop. I put about 7:3 weed to herbal stuff ratio and it makes it burn much cleaner aswell as not messing up my lungs as much as tobacco would. Most of my friend either smoke it pure, do the same as me or smoke with tobacco. Most people in England however I've found just mix it with tobacco.

A lot/most of my bong hitting friends mix tobacco with all their bowls "for the head rush". I don't even smoke tobacco in a joint so I've never tried it. One of my friends packs a small bowl of herb and then covers the top with like twice as much tobacco so that his first hit is pure tobacco and he still hits it like chron holding it in and everything. I've seen it make him shake and puke so tobacco bowls ftl. They all say it gets them higher though.

i used to use my cigs (camel filters) for the tobacco in my joints. didn't have any special rolling tobacco or anything like that.

i never was a big fan of that, just liked smoking full weed joints or taking some hits from the bong. that is, until my crazy ass uncle comes from france.

but anyways, we just got king sized papers, based it mostly with tobacco, and then sprinkled the weed which was finely cut with scissors onto the base, but not completely covering it so that it would spread when rolling the joint.

the taste was kinda harsh at first, but eventually i developed a liking for it. really awesome practice for brushing up rolling skills.

Weeds sorta expensive here so about 1/2 of what we smoke is spotted.
Thats if you are inside (home, etc) & have access to a kitchen stove (electric or gas) or, as most houses have, a gas heater.
