Why can animals eat raw, nasty meat?
...without getting sick?
Like, I was watching Survivorman, and the sleddogs had old, uncooked meat, and they would even drag the food though shit while picking at it. How on Earth do the animals not get sick from bacteria?
Or is the issue that humans can eat raw meat, but simply don't?

Re: Why can animals eat raw, nasty meat?
That's just like asking why can people masturbate and animals can't. That's because we have something they don't, hands. Just like they obviously have something internal that we don't which allows more nastier foods to be consumed.

Re: Why can animals eat raw, nasty meat?
Because humans have grown soft over the years. We prefer better tasting foods. Animals can't cook. They have a better immune system due to not cooking for years. Or maybe we have a shittier immune system because of cooking food for years. Cooking destroys a lot of bacteria I would think.

Re: Why can animals eat raw, nasty meat?
For animals more specifically domesticated dogs to eat raw meat there has to be some kind of downside. Im sure the risk of worms and other parasites is severly increased. I've heard about people feeding their pitbulls raw meat but i really dont think thats healthy.

Re: Why can animals eat raw, nasty meat?
well we've evolved immensely and our digestive systems have become more sensitive over time... and a dog has been a fuckin dog since we tamed them way back in the day.
