Default Cleaning a multi-chambered bong (Help)

So i have a friend who has a multi-chambered bond like http://tinyurl.com/5pu2ee but with a few more chambers. She's let the water sit in there for the past 6 months.

I''m a fan of cleaning any smoking device and i was wondering if anyone has any tips in cleaning this big of a bong?

You can get special bong cleaning shit from hemp stores & online. Would probably be the best bet, although you could just dump a bottle of rubbing alcohol in there, you'd have to let it sit/shake it around for a few days...

She...let the water sit in there?

That's some fucking haggard nasty shit right there.

Tip 1: Change the god damn water every day.

Tip 2: You should be able to disassemble those kind of bongs. Once it is, put on a gasmask and use isopropyl alcohol to clean out the bong. Let it sit in there for a while, and rinse thoroughly with water. Sit it out to dry for several hours. It shouldn't take TOO long, since the alcohol evaporates quickly, but better safe than sorry.

Tell that bitch to not be so fuckin' disgusting. Hitting that thing must have tasted nasty.

Yeh, even if you don't get it spotless you'll kill whatever the fuck has been reproducing in there for the last six months.

Definitely some sort of culture of a few million what-the-fuck-evers.

She had a science experiment going on.

By the looks of that picture its a acrylic bong, and if she left the same gross ass bong water in for 6 months of smoking regularly you would have better luck just throwin that shit away and gettin a new one. The plastic used to make those bongs is shitty and it absorbs whatever you put through/let sit in it, so even if you clean it its still gonna smell and taste like 6 month old bong water. Buy some glass and keep it clean.

I've found the best way to clean a gross bong is this...

1. Dump out all bong water/chunks/whatever you can get out with warm water. Rinse it around and get as much out as you can with warm water.

2. Get a bottle of Rubbing alcohol and dump it into the bong. Add regular table salt, or white rice into the bong, and shake like a mofo.

3. After shaking for several minutes you should see everything lift off the side of the chambers, and rinse it out with warm water until the alcohol smell is gone.

4. Fill your bong with cold water, and add a couple shots of mouthwash to the bong, let sit for a few hours or overnight, depending on how bad the bong is.

5. Rinse out bong, and refill with water. :D

You should now have a practically spotless bong, that has a slightly minty smell from the mouthwash. The smell should fade quickly, than it should just smell like your average bong.

So i bought a bottle of rubbing alcohol and but some in the bottom to 'pre-soak' i was gonna add rice for friction but when i went back to check the alcohol was leaking every where.

Could the alcohol have dissolved the glue that was holding it to the, I'm guessing, acrylic base?
I'm thinking about just taking all of them off and attempting to hot glue all of them back on, because the disgusting mycology experiment of a bong was not mine.

Also, it looked like the acrylic was stained because there was a white residue on the inside of the tubes.

^ the iso method is not for acrylic unless you want it ruined id say just have her get a new one either glass, acrylic with formula 420 or an acrylic throw away bong so she can do the samething again

iso is only for glass/metal(maybe wood?)

Only one person told you to use iso, the rest said rubbing alcohol, you dumb piece of shit, and it's your fault for listening to him if mr. biggles is right. I've never owned or even used an acrylic bong (they're generally shit), so I don't actually know if he is or not.

Rubbing alcohol does not necessarily mean isopropyl alcohol, you ignorant douchenozzle.

The United States Pharmacopoeia standards (standards recognized in many countries other than the UK and USA) define rubbing alcohol as a mixture of ethanol and water of fixed proportions.

Okay, I stand corrected, and admit I was wrong.

However, I've never owned an acrylic bong so this is an understandable mistake.

Don't get mad at me. Get mad at her for being so damn lazy with her bong maintenance.

I'll admit it, a couple a months back I read that iso/rubbing alcohol can fuck up acrylic bongs and wanted to know if it was true/false. In the name of science, thank you.

Those acrylic pieces of garbage are cheap as hell anyway. That bong was what, $30?

Invest in glass.

HAHAHAH! No one told you that alcohol and acrylic don't mix. That is fucking hilarious. You just ruined your bong, totally. Throw it out, and buy a new one.

Seriously, you fucked up bad.

What I said about telling me earlier was ment to be sarcastic sorrry I hurt feelings/angered people.

It was a $50 bong (it had 7 chambers which is what caught her eye) my friend got from Canada.

She didnt really care about it...... obviously after leaving it full of H2O for 6 months.....

I just wanted to smoke out of it because it looked cool.

Well its good to note that iso alcohol and crappy acrylic bongs do NOT mix well.

You don't need to "soak" a bong with alcohol. Just pouring it in and shaking/stirring it around should be enough. What kind of dumb ass would put alcohol in a bong and leave it overnight anyways? That seems pointless when after a few minutes the chamber resin is pretty much dissolved. By the way, how practical is a 7 chamber bong anyways? 0_0
