I've done this 3 times before out of 6 jobs.

1. Being a cashier at supermarket. Sucked balls standing in one place for 6-8 hours. Quit in 3 weeks.

2. Busser at O' Charleys. Quit the first day. Everyone there was disorganized, assholes, drug addicts. I smoke weed but they everyone just talked about crack for the 5 minutes I wasn't covered in other peoples foods.

The latest of my problems is Walgreens. I was not expecting to just be another cashier, but apparently thats what they have me as. I was also informed I was being moved to the new store straight in the middle of the fucking ghetto open 24/7 working the night shift and going to school during the day. A cop stays at the supermarket near there at night EVERY night. I hear there is a good chance of getting shot, so my odds of quitting this job soon is very fast.

Questions

1. Any tips on how to not awkwardly quit? Its like yeah..uh..I just wasted like a week of training...and I quit.

2. How does this affect future jobs? If I don't put them on resume will future employers really find out/care that I've gotten and quit all of these jobs in a short period of time and not want to try me?

I'm picky about jobs and also don't want to die. Its because I'm still going to college and I live at home / have a girlfriend with an apartment, so that's pretty much all I need.

well you could tell them you don't want to move stores and are not comfortable working nights, but then if they let you stay, you still quit anyway. so it's probably gonna be awkward because really what you're doing is fucked up. in the interview, ask what the job is like, and if you don't like it then don't accept the job.

Yeah, I asked for nights just to try it out, and he mentioned a new store, but I didn't know it was right in the middle of the fucking kill zone. After I start nights there if I feel I'm in some serious danger I'll probably quit fairly soon there-after. I agree its pretty fucked up. I just don't know if I should care that much about such a bullshit corporation. I do feel bad for the people I've met thought. One old lady there is really nice and she's practically a friend already.

Dude, I use to work at Walgreens, for TWO weeks, most horrible job I've ever had, I'm now about to quit my job at Double Daves Pizza Works which I've had for about 3 months, I'm about to be fired anyways. Got a new store manager and since the day he started hated my guts, no idea why, but this week he cut my hours down to 8. -.-? So tomarrow I'm putting in my two weeks notice.

But Walgreens! Yeah, reason I quit there was because I had literaly pedofile manager with a sexual assault record. Apprently raped a girl, he is a freak after all and did some harsh harsh shit just to screw with me that I wrote down and was thinking about sending the letter to corporate HQs, but I'm a nice guy and just decided to say I can't work anymore.

And you BETTER get to know where your cigarettes are, and FAST. People are really impatient with them and will reach over the damn counter to grab them. And you'll get to know your regulars and your local trash that will come in there 4 times a day and buy some. Gets annoying, but it's interesting. The job did however enlighten me in many ways; as in I never knew so many pieces shit were alive in the world.

Haha yeah you definitely worked in walgreens. Your right after about 20 minutes at the register I'm about to jump over the counter and shove the cigarettes up their asses. Its amazing how the later it gets the more shitheads come in. By 11 O' clock every single person who came in was a fucking piece of trailer trash, a nigger, or a psychopath. It really makes you lose faith in humanity.

That sucks about the pedophile manager. My manager is just an asshole whose been working there since he's been like 15.

i have only worked for this company my whole fucking adult life 11 fucking years

now if i had to work at a wal mart i would blow my fucking head off

No. Just no. Unemployment is high, around here airlines, plants, and several other large businesses have closed their doors or moved out of town after filing BK leaving a lot of people screwed. Hell, I was unemployed for 13 weeks and couldn't get on anywhere, not even fast food... they kept telling me I was 'overqualified' well hell yes I was... a man with degrees has no business flipping burgers, unless he has no other options... but they didn't see it that way, they'd have rather given the job to a 14 year old instead of the man that needs it to keep a roof over his head.
