I know a lot of people here are from SF and I know someone heres been caught. I had 8 pills (mdma) and an 8th of weed on me and $400 dollars. Because of my money they put me on sales even tho they were all in one bag, one for the weed and one for the pills. I'm going to go to the bank and get a print out of my receipt to prove that the $400 was in the check I cashed 7 hours earlier. Is this good enough to get the sales charges dropped and just get possession? I got court on Wed. and just wanna hear what someones gotta say about all this bullshit. The sheriff in jail told me that sales charges usually walk with probation but what about the misdemeanor charges of possession? What else can I get to prove that the $400 was mine and not drug money?

Did you deposit the $400 at once. If you did, you can just ask your bank for your transaction. If they try to charge you, get your attorney to subpoena them for dirt cheap.

Give your Judge 150% respect,
Don't talk in Court, Dress nicely,
If you don't have Tatoos, dress so it shows,
If you do, cover them up,
Have your Parents or some sorta Caregiver there with you,
Don't slouch, Stand up smartly when they tell you to,
Stand with both hands crossed in front of you (at ease), Don't swagger,

Be aware of the fact YOU are in a Courtroom, let that show,

When the Judge talks, nod once & LISTEN towards them with one ear,
Look to your lawyer when you are not sure when to speak,
Always, always say "Your Honor" in your sentences when you speak to him/her.

When you walk into court, take two steps in (make sure no ones behind you)
Stop (with your arms down in front of you)
NOD towards the Judge,
slip into your seat or walk briskly but silently to your seat, try not to have any other items except what you need for the Court.
Don't acknowledge anybody in court except, The Judge, your Lawyer, your parents, court workers.
Don't laugh, if you would normally (when something has happened or was said) act slightly puzzled & look towards your Lawyer as if you missed something.

Iv'e sat in court & seen all this make the difference between,

A suspended sentance with no fine or costs for B&E when theres been a woman in the building.
& 3 months jail on a 'first charge' of shop lifting a $2 item.
