I just started watching it. It's such an obvious, yet fairly awesome TV concept, yet there are still relatively few people up to this kind of shit.

What do you guys think? Got a favorite episode?

I like the Arizona episode, because it's the closest to the type of environment I live in, and it shows how the desert can be a great ecosystem for survival, not just some barren hot place.

He's working on season 3 right now.

I enjoy it, much more so than Man vs. Wild, I can't remember the exact location but my favorite episode was probably the lost at sea episode.

Survivorman is awesome and much better than Man vs. Wild. Bear Grylls fakes things and what not while Les Stroud is out there alone and carrying the cameras himself. It's a shame that Survivorman isn't as popular as Man vs. Wild. Probably because Les is no where near as pretty as Bear.

Probably has more to do with the fact that Les actually shows you how to survive whilst Man vs. Wild is more like:

Bear: Alright now I'm going to jump into this frozen lake to show you how much of a badass I am

Not to say Man vs. Wild can't be good at times

I can't believe the Man vs. Wild guy changed his name to Bear Grylls.

I've only seen a few episodes of Survivorman and I thoroughly enjoyed the episode I saw that involved snow. Not sure where he was though.

Les is the man. He dos'nt fake shit, sleep in hotels after each take, give bullshit advice(drinking undistilled urine, eating things without cooking, ect), or try to do unnecessary daredevil stunts. I hope he will make new episodes soon and expand his ideas. His recent shark special proved the mythbusters wrong.. sharks apparently 'do' attack when there is no body movement.

Which is why it's less entertaining...Les spends half of his time dicking around with his stupid fucking cameras, you don't use camera's to document yourself surviving. Bear Grylls is the man, may he take shortcuts and whatnot? Probably. Is he more entertaining? Yes.

My idea of an entertaining survival show is when someone is indeed surviving, not just doing stunts and eating nasty things.
