| Cunning Linguists Languages and their use. What languages do you speak and why? What do words really mean? Can you say things in one language that you can't say in another? Should there be a national language? How many languages should a person know and what are they? |

Polish swearwords
Hi, I'm polish.
I'm fluent in the language, except for the tiny little fact that I don't know any swear words because of 'caring' parents.
Anyone know any phrases or words that are pretty nifty?
:)

Re: Polish swearwords
The following are some swearwords I learned from a Polish friend. Their pronunciation is written in the brackets, if you are not sure how to pronounce them. And if you want to know how rude they are considered in Poland, equated with the English rating system of rudeness, kurwa is as rude as fuck, chuj is as rude as shit, and all the rest of them are equivalent to their English counterparts.
chuj (hooy) = dick
dupa (do-pa) = ass
kurwa (cor-va) = whore
skurwysyn (scur visyn) = S.O.B
pizda (pis da) = cunt

Re: Polish swearwords
there“s a small chance you will hear anything without kurwa, so make sure you use it always at the beginning and if you want to stress it some more add one of the other words ..

Re: Polish swearwords
I shared a flat with a Polish dude and can confirm that "kurwa" is the most important one to know.
