Re: Guy builds Lamborghini Reventon in his backyard!
Wicked, i wonder what engine he will put in it. It will be a complete waste of time if he puts anything less than 5litres in it. Or worse, a turbocharge reliant motor (unless its a V8 Turbo ).

Smallblock V8 with a serious business twin turbo setup, and of all things ungodly, a 4bbl King Demon racing carburettor!
Those carbs have a fucken gigantic flow rate, and I mean gigantic..
..they start at 1090cfm fer fucks sakes and they only get bigger from there - you'd normally see a 1090cfm 4bbl on a 650hp performance engine. My guess is that the block is stroked out and displaces a good 7L or more naturally aspirated, and with 9-15psi (Look pretty capable of it) from the turbos..
..that beast is going to be putting out big numbers, i.e. 750hp, with ease. It'll almost certainly be able to encroach into 4 digit territory, I rekon. It makes me laugh to think that this guy is making a steel bodied version of the Reventon with a carbed pushrod.
That's all supposition, I can't find any info on it, so who knows what's under the covers.

Wow, that's got a lot of potential.
Very impressive.
Even better to have a high performance engine in a sexy car without the complicated gadgets that manufactures seem to go nuts on.

Re: Guy builds Lamborghini Reventon in his backyard!
Wow, just WOW
The question is, does it perform similarly? And was it any cheaper to do it this way?

Re: Guy builds Lamborghini Reventon in his backyard!
I like the location of the turbos, easy access.
I wonder what its overall weight will be on completion with the steel and all.
Nice Engineering!

I'd be excited if I was his kids. Especially when they are old enough to drive. You could pick up some chicks just for driving that thing.

Not to mention the fact that this is a completely unique car, I mean instead of being the rich bastard who just threw down more money than I will ever make, he actually built it from scratch. That has to be one of the most manly feelings in the world.

Did he buy the body parts from Lamborghini or is it from scratch?

He started with large flat sheets of steel and lengths of box section, and made all the panels and the frame himself (I think it's only the chassis that he kept from the Fiero). In case anyone reading isn't aware, theres more than one good reason to use the chassis/platform from a pre existing car, and one of them is that this way it will be a million times easier to register (once he gets that far) because it is still technically a Fiero.
Fieros are very popular for this kinda thing, especially Ferrari 355 conversions..
..but this is on a whole other level!

Re: Guy builds Lamborghini Reventon in his backyard!
Five bucks says he walked into a dealership, asked how much one costs, and upon hearing the answer said "Well fuck that, I'll build my own!"
