So I have a close personal friend that is close personal friends with Nolan Ryan and he has told me that these are some of the ideas they have been tossing around for the next movie since before The Dark Knight even came out:

1. Possibly cast Shia Labeouf in a role that would at least bring Robin to mind, without the gay campiness. This could mean the whole "Robin" name would never be mentioned, the only similarity being Bruce Wayne having a young friend that he teaches martial arts and shit, and who knows that he is Batman.

2. Another route that could include Labeouf is kind of interesting. Have the movie, or at least a good hour of it, take place like 40 years in the future. They would try to get Adam West to play the elderly retired Bruce Wayne, and Jack Nicholson to at least do a cameo as an elderly Joker. Labeouf could play the young guy taking over for Bruce Wayne in the vigilante role, with him either just donning the Batman costume or somehow creating the whole Robin thing. Cyber crime would be a problem in future Gotham, or some shit.

3. I don't know what kind of plot this would fit into, but apparently they see room for Nicole Kidman to reprise her role as Dr. Chase Meridian (probably as a psychologist at Arkham or something) and Batman's new love interest, now that Maggie/Katie/Rachel is dead. Remember how hot she was for Batman and his black rubber suit in Batman Forever? I'm thinking possible first time nude scene for Nicole Kidman. Ohhhhh yeahhh.
