| Art and Design If you like it, is it Art? What is the difference between a good design, a bad design and bad taste? Does form follow function? If something works, does it matter what it looks like? |

Some Photography..
Just wanted to get some opinions/suggestions about my photography.
It's been one of my minor hobbies for quite a long time but I just recently got a newer(ish) camera that works decently, and also got a *special* copy of photoshop cs3, which I've been tinkering around with for a while, I probably suck at it but at least it's entertaining.

Any tips with photoshop/general photography also appreciated.

Re: Some Photography..
Just cranking up the contrast to the maximum doesn't make the pictures good... I know, everybody who doesn't know shit about photography will say "oooh bright, colours me likey" But seriously...they're shit. You can hardly see shit on them, they are shit.

ya, big over exposed blotches dont make good pictures. Although i can say i have been a victim to that very disease many a time.
oh and i dont care what you say, tilted horizons DO NOT work with landscapes.

Re: Some Photography..
Eh how would I go about using double exposure? Everything that I do with photography is really basic, is there an option in photoshop that can add more exposure to it?
Thanks for all of the criticism though. (that's not sarcasm) Anything helps, like I said most of this is just messing around with photoshop, trying to make it better in any way, so usually in the end all of the layers are pretty fubar.

Well, just ask Sybil, I'm sure a great photographer like him could teach you how to make double or more exposure with a DSLR alone.
And remember, a good photographer could do double exposure with a DSLR alone without photoshoping.

There are a fewgood pictures, but agreed.
Tilted landscape horizons make me want to throw up.
I'd rather eat a box of butterd popcorn and go the tilt-a-whirl for two days straight.
EDIT: Can we see the before photos of the photoshoped images?

take exposure with various exposure compensations (these will look like -2.0 2.0. This will leave you with an underexposed and overexposed image and hopefully an average. (you'll need a tripod). Then look up tone mapping photoshop on google.
