So a buddy of mine bought a Handycam Digital8 on eBay...But it didn't come with the software. Me being the mate I am I offered my services to help find the software and drivers.

So starts the problem...

I have downloaded a couple packages...Neither worked. I went to Sony's website and it offers an upgrade (great if you have the software to upgrade!)
I found that software and it doesn't do anything for it.

So I looked in the manual and found it ships with Picture Package 1.5 on CDROM...So I found that, downloaded it and guess what...It is for the DVD Handycam!

I followed the instructions on the website to no avail...

Jeez...Can anyone offer any advice?

I've been to the website and downloaded the driver but they don't wanna give me the original software (got that through torrent though) but nothing.

If the ebay ad said it included the software then tell the guy to reimburse you. and go buy it. If he dosen't want to submit a complaint to ebay.

they might just send you a copy.

Sony is a Phony.
Buy other video cameras.

My old Sony handy cam isn't compatible with Vista.

What OS do you have? If you have vista you might have to update some stuff or something...
