Good for you man. Look at it as a good thing. It is going to help you later in life if it does not have any benefits in the short term. An alternative would be to get on bupe but detox and rehab is probably harder but better. Bupe is the easyway in my opinion and can be hard to kick itself.

One of the best things about it is actually having extra money! Well once you pay for the rehab, hhaha, pricey.

My last friend that was in rehab for opiates was given suboxone to help with W/Ds and valium with some other shit to help with sleep and whatnot. Thats here tho you might just get seroquel and be told to go fuck yourself thats what they used to do here.

There not going to pump you full of opiates at rehab unless you are obviously going through withdrawals. Just expect lots of cigarettes, coffee, and bullshit. Good luck.

thats what i figured, just wanted something to make the time go by a little quicker. i'm not gonna claim withdrawals, i don't want to be caught lying in a place like that.

i drove my mom to her rehab center today for electroconvulsive therapy...

place is a bit like a hospital merged with a prison...

bring a carton of cigarettes if you smoke them.... they don't really allow anything in, no cell phones, lighters, matches, shoe strings, generally anything you could harm yourself or others with... bring a pair of shoes that don't require laces.... of course your place might be more or less stringent...

I don't think it's his choice. Most people who go to rehab are sent there by force. Pretty much why Rehab doesn't have the highest success rate. You can only quit if you want to.

well basically you were allowed all the smokes you wanted, hopefully you had family who would bring them in for you or you just sold them enough to make money to buy more. but early in the morning they would open the smoking lounge and you could go up to a desk and they would let you borrow a lighter, but you had to return it before you left...

if your going in voluntarily i would find one that allowed smoking... if you have no choice then you have no choice...

something i never really understood, they are very paranoid about people trying to kill themselves at the place my mom was at, considering the LD50 of nicotine is pretty low, couldn't a person swallow a good amount of tobacco and die, it would be farm from pleasant but it would be death... they weren't even allowed shoe laces... or cloths with stings because people have tried to hang themselves...

haha yes i can clearly remember being stripped of my shoe laces in a psych ward years ago. i had never really thought of the tobacco bit. i guess the average suicidal junkie isn't smart enough to figure that one out. people tend to overlook the fact that tobacco is in the nightshade family. some very deadly plants with some very interesting alkaloids.

Just to show off the fact that I've been to rehab:

Yea, they don't let you wear belts or shoelaced shoes. They give you a thorough strip search upon entrance and sometimes random ones. They don't do cavity searches but they do make you spread your cheeks while they watch. and since it was a teen place there was definitely no cigs, but i know a guy snuck in a few and some matches in his cast and smoked one in the bathroom. the thing is, they knew exactly who it was because you have to be escorted to the bathroom.

okay that's enough.
