Why do some poppy tea recipes say to remove the seeds from the pods?
I just got some pods, ground em up, and made some tea... didnt add any flavor... it doesnt taste that bad you pussies!
Anyways, I didn't take out the seeds, I just blended them up along with the pods and stems.
So, is there anything wrong with that?

No.
Most say to remove the seeds because it would be too gross to chug all those wet seeds down. But if you did it - hey!
Peace.

I heard the seeds have alkaloids that taste like shit and make you sick, but I don't think it would effect you if there was that few of seeds.

Ya but you drain the brew anyways through a filter... unless people use a filtering method that lets the seeds get through?
Ah fuck it, seeds ftw!

The seeds contain some oils that when hot water is added can make you sick.

Hmmm, interesting.
But I heard people sometimes make tea from the seeds alone... are they just being stupid? Surely the seeds contain a good deal of opiate?
