You bought a pipe with a sealed-carb, you already fucked it up.

That said, take the smallest drillbit you have, and drill very slowly, and with as little pressure as possible. Then use a bigger bit, etc, and widen the hole until it's the desired size. If you have trouble getting the first hole started, then use something to put a little nick in it to make the drill stay in place.

Then clean the shit out of that pipe(duh).

If you drill it, keep a stream of water over the site to help cool it down and keep it from cracking. Go over the fresh hole with some sandpaper, or smooth the edges with a torch if you're feeling particularly handy.

Just get a pin, put it over your sealed carb, and gently tap it with a spoon until you crack through it.

Using a drill for something that small is overkill, and a pen would probably break the bowl.

I've seen a few pipes like that up here in Canada. It is a very thin layer of glass, nothing too hard to get through. My friend bought a small spoon with a covered carb last month. We just ran it under a small stream of cold water and went at it with a small sized diamond drill bit. The trick is to take it SLOW, and keep it under the stream of water. After the hole is made, run water through the pipe and clean out every spec of glass you can find, let it dry, and enjoy your new carb.

Very very thin, and it's painted over in low-quality paint red paint(something you could remove with acetone). It sticks out like a sore thumb, because it's painted while the rest of the pipe is color changing glass.

Will try the drill bit method this weekend.

Just like an engine, it's necessary to close the choke until you get things going, at which point you can open it up for better performance.

Good news. I started going at it with an electric drill only to find out it was a thin coating of blue wax (what I previously had thought was painted over thin glass) that picked off clean.

I am now enjoying a new carb, guess I should have just stabbed it with a sewing needle or something before going all out and buying a drill and some diamond bits heh.

Basically you blaze weed packed into a tube, once the weed burns it will start to burn a layer of tobacco under it, so you pull the entire cherry through the tube into the bong, causing a loud popping sound.
