Okay, so I was thinking of building a small time capsule. I want to vacuum pack some heads and throw em' in there but the only problem is it might be in there for 30+ years. It would be stored underground for the entire time in a sealed off container. Do you think the weed would be smoke-able?

No. THC degrades over time. Why the hell would you want to store weed for 30 years? It'll certainly still be available in 30 years anyway. I call troll thread.

well yeah but it might be hard to get a hold of... or completely legal but still... it'd be crazy digging that up one day

Not a bad gift to future generations. It sure beats family photos and a mix CD or something. Although it wouldn't be smokeable.

uh, maybe a mason jar or some shit wrapped in a towel, but in a cooler... Then put that in a few garbage bags/ plastic bags and put that in the ground?


Nothing like going out in the middle of Winter/ February, taking a pick axe to the frozen ground, hoping to get some good smoke.

Maybe instead of whole buds, convert to hash or honey oil?
Maybe if you vacuum sealed the bud or had it in sometime type of inert (think helium) atmosphere.

It would have to be well insulated against the heat and cold, but if it's sufficiently buried dirt is a good insulator as long as you still wrap it in some styrofoam or beer cooler type thing...

Yeah, this is a good idea..very generous too :)

Vacuum sealing is your best bet no doubt..but I doubt it'll make the cut for 30 years....it would def. be better off as hash oil though.
