Default Breeding mice

What happens if you put male and female mice together in a container? Will they breed?

I just got 2 mice, 1 females and 1 male, and I wanted to know if they will breed, because I really don't have room for any more.

EDIT: Since I got the new container instead of the smaller container I had them in when I started this thread, I'm going to try to breed them now.

Let's put it this way.. I had two "female" mice and they bred like... mice. I had so many baby mice that we had to start drowning them. And if you get babies, the babies will breed with each other eventually, and their mother, and the dad will rape them and ... well in answer, yes... They will breed. Separate them! Get rid of the male!

I've been waiting for my damn mice to breed all summer and still nothing. I'm getting tired of buying snake feed and mouse feed. I've probably got 4 males with my luck.

Failing to breed mice. That's fail.

You can... look to check if they're males or females

They're going to jump out of that enclosure. And you should get them a wheel.

I know they're going to jump out because one already has

Found him though, luckily I kept my closet door closed so there wasn't that much room for him to hide in.

Since my last post I have put a lid on the container with a couple of strips cut out from one side to the other so they can breathe, and they won't jump out.

I'm gonna get them a wheel next time I go to petsmart, it should be soon since I need bedding for them.

I've also named them shoe and zap, the smaller one on the right is Zap, and the one in the corner on the left is shoe. They're rather social little pets, if I stick my hand out they'll step on it and crawl up my arm.

They also love my sisters mice, she has 3 and I have 2, and we stick them together occasionally and they run around with each other. They're quite fun little pets.
