Would 9 month cd's give you a good profit or is the new 3 month cd's better. And what bank would be best for a cd?

What country are you in first?

If the shorter 3 month terms pays the same interest then I'd go with that as you can compound it every three months and you aren't locked into it for too long. However, this usually isn't the case and the longer term is better. Try look for one that pays interest frequently as to compound it.

Have a look at http://www.bankrate.com/brm/rate/deposits_home.asp for some good info.

This is good advice. He knows what he's talking about. I also recommend that site. When you do look start comparing/looking at banks make sure you read the fine fucking print.
