Victor Wooten could play a bass made of human feces and it would sound amazing.

"YYZ" by Rush.

I'd like to point out Tim Commerford of RATM. He doesn't have any crazy bass solos, but his fills and intros are nice, clean, and smooth. He's one of my favorites. "Calm Like a Bomb" is probably his best work.
