Just wondering if any of the bass players here know what Jaco Pastorius uses on the album version of "Continuum." Obviously much of his tone is derived from those crazy high-mid settings he used as well as the natural tone of his fretless bass, but it seems to me on this piece he has some sort of sustain/echo effect employed.

Anybody know for sure? It's possible I'm just hearing things, that growling bass of his is pretty legendary and supernatural...I think it's only fitting that it hasn't turned up since his death.
