Religious Experience/Faith-Inspiring Trips
For those BLTCers who are well acquainted with psychedelic drugs, have you ever had spiritual experiences that changed your faith/views on God? I myself always get the feeling of "universal connectedness" while meditating on acid.

Re: Religious Experience/Faith-Inspiring Trips
I've actually found my psychedelic experiences to be profoundly atheistic/existentialist. They've reaffirmed my identity as an individual in a universe with almost zero limits; where there may be no "higher authority", "mover", "creator" or what have you.
We are alone, so all we have are each other. All men are brothers, and to commit a crime against your brother is to commit a crime against yourself.
I believe that tou find what you expect to, though. I'm sure if I could coax a Christian peasant out of their hugbox long enough to give them shrooms, they'd see the "majesty of Jehova's light", or some such shit.
Then they'd create a cult, and who really wants the brain-washing leading to eventual an hero on their hands?

Say what?
Hallucinogenic drugs can be a way to at the least feel more connected to the world. The concusions you draw while on your trip/after your trip are going to depend on you and yes your belief/lack of belief in a higher power will likely either be questioned and/or reaffirmed if you are thinking about that throughout your trip.

Re: Religious Experience/Faith-Inspiring Trips
Joseph Smith was on mushrooms when he created the LDS (or mormon) faith. He was really just a poligamistic pedo and wanted to have sex with lots of women and young girls so the mushroom showed him how to create a faith to do just that. It also instructed him to put into the faith the fact that mind altering substances are a sin, so nobody could take away his ability to fuck multiple girls and women.

Having read several books on the Mormon faith I can assure you that that's bullshit.
