Default Would this work to get more $$ back on your taxes?

I obviously can't do it since I am making a thread about it because if I did do it I could easily be traced by whomever investigates these things. Now, I have a job that requires a lot of travel. I also have a company credit card that I can eat on, buy casual supplies and get hotels with.

My question: I noticed that whenever I get receipts back from these various outings (hotels, food, etc, etc) that my name is on it and it doesn't even have my companys' name on it anywhere. Just mine.

Is there some way I could have saved all these receipts and turned them in when I do my taxes without it falling back on me legally?

The credit card might be for your name but the account sure isn't.

Try that one on for size.

So they would obviously trace the account back to my company before I got my taxes back? Basically there is no way this could happen? Like I could do it then face fines/prison time/get fired when I get caught?

Just wondering.

No, they don't.

Would this work? I'm not doing it, I'm just curious to see if it would work?

Well...you MIGHT be able to get away with it, but if the IRS ever did decide to look into it, you're screwed...really bad. I don't think it's worth it at all. It's pretty surprising that your company doesn't want the receipts...they obviously don't care about their deductions :-D
