Hey dudes

So I found out the other day that my dad loves Cajun music. Weird for me because he's the type of listener who will only like one song a year and play it to death!

I'd like to know of some good artists to look out for on my travels so I can grab him some CDs and shit. Dunno why. Just would like to get hold of some for him.

Thanks in advance.

Dr. John kinda has a cajun feel to his songs

I have a record by some guy named Pappy "Te-Tan" Meaux called "Pure Cajun Blues" or something like that. It's pretty tight but I haven't been able to find out anything about him online so far.

You mean Zydeco music? Buckwheat Zydeco, the Zydepunks, Keith Frank, Leftover Salmon and Grateful Dead to some extent.

As for music from New Orleans with the whole Cajun feel? Dr. John, Soul Rebel Brass Band, Rebirth Brass Band (incredible guys), and Dave Gregg
