democracy/republic worked fine for a little while, and then floundered. one has only to look at the results to see that. democracy is a mob rule, and fucking ridiculous in anything larger then a small city-state. have you ever, EVER, looked at a group of people, and said, 'these folks look really, really smart. lets give them the final say on how to run the nation'... no. because that's foolish. it also is a completely unresponsive, easily manipulated system. the republic is a little better, with the rich aristocracy ruling for their own gain. sometimes their gain is the nations gain, sometimes the nation gets shafted. this nations form of government was a experiment. it was always that. and i believe we all see the failure of that experiment.
now, a autocracy, on the other hand, is the longest lasting and best working system of government in existence. more on that in a moment.
we live in a sort of global oligarchy. at some point, a couple hundred years ago, the leaders of the world realized that in the changing shape of the world, a tangible autocrat can be seen, analyzed, resisted and deposed. a tangible autocrat is unstable, and bounded by his prominence. so what they did, was they let the first world fall into a sort of democratic/republic/generally socialistic government situation, and they themselves, understanding the weakness of these systems, and being fantastically wealthy themselves, slip into the background. they still pull all the strings, push all the buttons, and run the show, but now they do it in secret, and the common man believes all the tripe that they are educated on - they are filled full of reasons why kings are a terrible thing, why democracy is a excuse for anything, how they have a important role in the system, that they, the people, rule! there is nothing for them to fight but themselves. meanwhile, the leaders still rule behind the scenes, safe from reprisal. even mentioning that there ARE behind the scenes leaders is laughed at. mentioning that our governments were practically designed as fronts for the leaders is laughed at even harder. they say the devils best trick is to convince you he isn't real.
now, suppose, a man seizes power in america. complete power. he has the military loyalty, and the senate and congress are now powerless. he is king.
the behind the scenes leaders have now lost power. lets assume they are for some reason incapable of killing him, and 'liberating' america, and replacing their government.
we'll first look at him, regarding things that are not a result of his character. this king has nothing whatsoever to be materially gained. there is no amount of wealth that means a thing to him personally, as every luxury, any women, anything he wants is his. there is no bush going to war and making billions on his oil stocks. this man is above money. in the worst case, suppose he has some pretty heinous tastes, and he has some boys kidnapped for him, and he rapes them. i'm sure our leaders do things such as that anyhow.
now, he controls the nation. he does what he sees fit. this one mans ideals, motivations, desires, and plans, are put into motion by a ENTIRE NATION. there is no mitigating process, or any barriers, it is simply done, and done instantly. all political impetus is non existent.
if he is a bad man, he will do bad things. but if he is a good man, we stand to gain our own pax american, if not pax terra. but if you really look at all the kings and monarchs through history, there have been startlingly few really BAD kings. yes, they have ALL done bad things... but generally, they keep order, and they seek the welfare and profit of their people. on one side you have evil tyrants, like hitler, on the other side, you have glorious leaders that really love their people such as julius ceaser. but, even hitlers and nero's aren't THAT terrible. if hitler hadn't been gassing innocents because of his interesting racial beliefs, he would have really done nothing honestly WRONG. war for the profit of your people is fine, and commendable. hitler personally stood to gain nothing from conquering europe, but his people, the germans, stood to gain everything. nero? despite what some ancient texts, most notably petronius, and his notorious smear novel, "satyricon" tells us, he wasn't that terrible. he was a fool, yes. he built monuments for the people, while they starved. he practiced harp while rome burned. he really let rome go. but kings like him, are, as i said, rare.
lets look at what a GOOD king would do. he would declare the bill of rights as sacrosanct. he would kick the rich men that are making money hand over fist over americas pains out on their asses. if he sees a wrong, he can right it in a matter of hours. the best president can't fix wrongs like that. our economy is suffering, so he bulldozes the reserve, and backs our money once more with gold. he begins forming a empire once more, making the dollar the most powerful currency in the world. he ORDERS alternative energies to be IMMEDIATELY implemented, and while thats being constructed and formed, he orders enough oil refineries to be built in america to supply ALL of our needs. we have enough coal and oil, not counting Canadian oil sands, to last us at least a hundred years, and they tell us it's two hundred. we could have fusion plants up within 20 years, providing clean, infinite energy for america, and probably enough to sell it off to our neighbors and colonies. meanwhile, gas costs one fifty a gallon, and our economy goes into the stratosphere. we return to exporting raw goods and expanding. soon, we also have the cleanest nation on earth, simply because mankind is capable of ANYTHING, if he works together, and organizes, which is what our current government DOESN'T do. america would most likely end up ruling the world, and with this good man at it's helm, most likely bringing peace to it. look at what rome did. they conquered nations, and they slaughtered the armies that opposed them, but the people of those nations rejoiced.
i don't know. im not good at presenting my argument concisely and orderly. but i think i gave an idea of why i think what i think. the ideals and desires and motivations of just about any person, a average person, is going to be better once implemented, then the clusterfuck we have in washington right now. a good person? there is nothing more wonderful and joyful then living under a good king. a bad king is a lot easier to take out then a corrupt government. no system is perfect, but i think that autocracy, as we have had for thousands of years before the recent trickery, is the best form of government. people think that voting equates to freedom, but democracy is not freedom, freedom is not a form of government. choosing your leaders does not make you free, it enslaves you to the mob, and the people pulling their strings in the end. better to be ruled by one then subjugated by thousands.
