Working night shift = more money
I don't know if you guys knew this, because I didn't, but you can get more money for working at night.
I just got a job at walgreens and asked for the overnight shift, just to try it out.
He started talking about pay and he was like "okayyy hourly positions..thats 7.50...well...no your overnight, so it will be 8.00"
Just a tip if you don't mind being up all night  |

no shit.
anyways, 8.00 is below minimum wage here, so i don't give a fuck.
Besides, not every place would offer more money for night shifts.

.50 cents * 40 hrs a week = $20.00 a week. 52 weeks * $20.00 = $1040.00 / year

yes, most places will give you 50 cents more an hour for working between 11 pm and 6 am. this is to compensate for the risk of you getting shot when your walgreens is robbed.
there should also be a similar premium for working on sundays. this is to compensate for sinning.

My pay jumps from ~$16 p/h during the day to ~$22 p/h overnight (more on weekends), which is good as I only work overnight.

keep in mind stab is in australia, if you're in america. higher minimum wage/cost of living over there. $20 american dollars/hr in america sounds like a damn good job for a young totsean, but that wouldn't be the case here.

I get $1.30 night shift premium. Every two weeks I work on nights 8pm til 8 am, for two weeks then im back on days.
