I am a restaurant bitch.

Washing dishes, legions of them. 10 hours of it! Woe betwixt all ye who enter here. I hate my dishwashing "pit" because its in the fucking kitchen. No separate room, no high powered blasting, just three sinks. I have figured out the perfect routine, and now its just auto pilot.

Going through hundreds of songs that I know in my brain. A man can do a lot of thinking during his time spent scrubbing.

I've noticed that the restaurant breeds scum and villainy. The people I work with have been there for years, with no hope or advancement, beyond the realm of food preparation.

I work with a opiate addict. He gets real anxious on Fridays because he has extra money around. He started tripping out real hard, craving those good hydros. Yelling and screaming about how we all needed to go faster, faster!!!

These are just the simple musings of a petty underling.


So who else hates the job they have to work? Simple mindless garbage?

Particularly looking for responses from fellow food servicemen.

I love unemployment. I get paid $250 a week to go to a Friday night "Employment Counsellings" course funded by the gov't every week.

I would never work a job where I had to hand-wash dishes. I did do dishes at one point though. The work sucked and it was dirty as fuck, and I was the bitch of the back. But, I liked the people I worked with so I kept with it.

Bah i know your pain, i live in a pub thesedays, guess who has to deal with the kitchen after we close. Thats right, me.
One shitty sink which blocks all the fukken time, and a shitty dishwater that pisses on the dishes, woo fucking hoo.

I have a perfected 'system' when it comes to the dishes and when fellow employees fuck up my efficiency, I freak the fuck out.

The problem with this job is that I'm too good for it. I find myself blankly staring at the walls because for hours at a time because I work too fast. Chopping vegetables for example; I'm a fucking wood-chipper when it comes to my degenerate co-workers.

Plus, one of the chick cooks who opens in the morning has the shitty radio blaring all day. Fucking Rihanna. Worst singer of this generation.

Gah, I'm ranting. At least the tips make up for this bullshit.
