Default Calling all: Crooked LPs(loss prevention/LPOs-Experienced shoplifters

We already have the shoplifting thread, but slowly is is becoming less populated with ideas and techniques and more with theft reports.

If you Have or Currently work as a Loss prevention person of any sort OR an VERY experienced lifter that knows not how to lift, but policies: Please come forth.

Please Provide information of the Policies of your store in as much detail as possible including:
All Terms Uses in your work
Whether or not you are allowed to pursue or stop.
Differences in bad stops
ect ect.

I'm not looking for people to say how they steal. Im looking for people to say how they catch people stealing.

Here are Target's AP directives from 06. I don't work there anymore but all this is accurate based on what I remember from working there as an APS 2002-2005. We didn't really follow Target's policies all the time, especially when dealing with crackhead shoplifters that don't know what we can and can not do. Most people think security personel have way more rights than they really do. At most places/stores security personnel are not allowed to pursue offenders per internal/insurance policy. They just call the cops with a good description and complete a report.
