How's Your Willpower?
Mine is terrible. I can't resist alcohol, cigarettes, food, pastries...I'm really glad I've got a fast metabolism.
How about you?

Absolutely fucking shit. And I'm not blessed with a fast metabolism. So I'm a fat, weak willed fuck.

Pretty damn good. I've decided that by the end of next month I'm gonna store my stuff somewhere, then I'm gonna leave home and be a vagabond because I hate the thought of going to college and having some shitty job until I'm 65(there is no job that interests me, I've checked). It's time to grow up.

Mine's great. I quit smoking in 2001, quit drinking in '02. Now if I could just get rid of this pesky desoxyn habit...

Re: How's Your Willpower?
I haven't eaten in like two days. I'm just not hungry.
My willpower is alright, I suppose. If something isn't necessary, it won't get done. If something is urgent, I'll have that shit taken care of.
Or if money's involved. If there's money, I'm fucking on it.

Re: How's Your Willpower?
Used to be great. I started eating right, I was doing 60 pushups + 4 or 5 minutes worth of situps each night (Pushups all at once, situps for 2-3 minutes at a time).
Fuck, it was great for as long as it lasted. But I stopped when the summer started. Shit happened, found out that my girlfriend (For the short time we were offically going out...) lied to me for a month and a half, possibly longer, and I got to hear from one of my friends that she just started going out with one of my best friends at the time. She didn't bother to fucking tell me, and just lied to me.
Since then, everything went to shit. I spend most of my day laying down on my bed, watching futurama dvds and reading shit on this computer, being a lazy worthless fuck.

Re: How's Your Willpower?
I've always had amazingly great willpower. It is the reason I was able to quit drinking, quit meth and quit heroin [not all at the same time] by myself and with very little trouble.

Really?
Any advice for getting it prescribed?
Is it worth it, or would buying street meth be a better deal?

Re: How's Your Willpower?
resisting shit's gotta do with metabolism?
I'd say average. I've got whats been described many times as an "addictive personality/gene" but I've managed to overcome it for the most part. I've had problems before but have beaten them before they absolutely swallowed me whole so....
I'd say 7.5/10

Simply enough..
Goggle "doctors investigated for prescription abuse *your city*" - those are the doctors you want to see. Also check the AMA website, same basic search criteria.
Faking narcolepsy helps.
So does working in local hospitals.
If I go into more detail Meta would have to move this to a more appropriate forum, so email me sometime. Not tonite though, I'm getting sleepy.
Worth it? yes.

A good metabolism is what lets someone be gluttonous without getting fat and nasty.

Re: How's Your Willpower?
Well, looking at just today:
1) I've not had a cigarette, drank any alcohol or dug out the wonky/anything else, today, mainly because i've got a cold.
2) I've cooked and eaten two meals with at least some nutritional value.
3) I walked a few miles to get back to my house this morning, rather than being a lazy bastard and going on the bus (fuck bus fares).
4) I'm awake at 5:45am mainly because I can't be bothered to go to bed.
5) I tidied up the kitchen and did the dishwasher/washing about 20 minutes ago...
6) I've eaten most of a bag of Kola Cubes. But not all of them.
7) I aint had a shower today, because it would involve digging through my rucksack and unpacking my toiletries.
Ah shit, maybe a bit up n down...? If I really want something I can usually make the effort.... if I have to get/do something, then i'm fucking cruising. The slight weirdness of having climbed 4300m in the mountains, and yet being too lazy to brush ya teeth......

I will never ever back down from an argument, but I have no willpower when drugs or alcohol is a factor, or even getting drugs or alcohol in the near future is a factor

Re: How's Your Willpower?
Fine. I broke many drug addictions, and I don't just indulge in eating whatever the fuck I feel like. I have a fast metabolism, but I care about more then just the shape of my body, so I eat properly anyway.

Re: How's Your Willpower?
I don't know, I think my willpower comes and goes, sometimes I'm amazing, I can avoid dinking for more than a week, not touch drugs, take walks in the park, force myself to study, eat well, wake up at a decent hour and all that.
Some other times I'm exactly the opposite.

Would you like everything spelled out for you, in simple terms, so your small mind can grasp it?

The fact he has a fast metabolism has nothing to do with willpower, or lack thereof. He states he cannot resist food, pastries, etc. Having a fast metabolism simply means he won't become a fat bastard. Hence why he's glad he has one.

Well, I stopped smoking about a month ago, just from one day to the other.
I just stopped smoking weed, and I'm not going to anymore for a month.
so I think it's pretty good

Re: How's Your Willpower?
So far its been good enough, I've never taken anything seriously addictive though, but with morphine and a few other small scale opiates, I just set a minimum of a two week gap between taking them.
Saying that, I'm addicted to wanking probably.
