Socks = ambitions?
I think I may be on to something here.
The past few days I haven't really done too much but fuck around my house, mostly because jetlag's still being such a damn bitch. But because of that, I noticed something even more that I thought of a while ago. I noticed that the days when I wear socks even around the house, I went about my business feeling completely normal, not wasteful or anything. Today I forgot to put socks on after my shower, and the entire day I've been feeling like I was being completely worthless, wasting the full fucking day.
About 2 hours ago I put some socks on, and now I'm feeling more normal, and not like I'm wasting my time anymore. Maybe it's because I feel more "prepared" to go out and do shit instead of wasting time inside my own house? Maybe it's because I always sleep with my socks off, so it feels like I shouldn't be doing anything if I'm not wearing any?
Could life's ambitions be hidden inside a foot-shaped rag of cloth?

I don't have socks on and I feel exactly the same as I did yesterday...maybe a tiny bit more aggressive/ambitious.

Re: Socks = ambitions?
This has made me realise I act the same way..
Ive heard about it before, how the brain makes associations with things, and they can be quite powerful.
Such as, people who work in thier bedrooms dont get much sleep. Because the brain is accustomed to working instead of sleeping in that environment.
I found this hard to believe at first, but after i found that im always hungry in the kitchen.. I started to believe it.
So i guess socks off = bed time for the brain...

Do you wear socks with sandals/flip-flops?
I personally feel more relaxed without socks. The productivity doesn't change either way.

Re: Socks = ambitions?
Hmm.
When I'm at the beach I have no socks on, only swimshorts, but I still spend all my time running, digging sand or throwing something.

You have too much time on your hands if you're thinking about shit like this.

I never wear sandals/ flip flops, so I couldn't tell that.
I just took off my socks because I'm going to bed in a minute, and I don't feel "lazier" yet, but I bet I would in 20 minutes if I was still up.

Re: Socks = ambitions?
I've noticed time tends to slow down on days I don't wear socks.
That may very well contribute to your theory of uselessness when not wearing foot garments.

Re: Socks = ambitions?
I'll take this a step further and start wearing shoes inside the house.
It's also kinda like how I don't feel like doing much of anything if I haven't taken a shower, brushed my teeth first thing in the morning.

Re: Socks = ambitions?
I'm not wearing socks right now and I feel as productive as ever. Drugs can be sold in just about any footwear.
my feet are pretty sexy. especially the big black and blue mark on my right big toe I got from apparently kicking something I shouldn't have been kicking.

Re: Socks = ambitions?
I once wrote an essay about how shoes are meant to control us. It was just some random, hole-filled paper that I had to write for the next day. All I said was that we wear shoes to work, school, etc. and all throughout the day and we get stressed out and shit, but when we get home we kick off our shoes and relax. It was pretty bullshit but I got almost an 80 on it.
And I don't know about OP's theory, I'm wearing socks, but I have yet to put pants on today... they are like ten feet away, and I really don't think it's worth it to stand up and get them.
