So recently I've made a deal with a local farmer and I've started selling some of my jams, pickles and crafts on Saturdays at his stall. I give him 10% of my profits in return. On average I make about $250 in profit per month.

My husband HATES that I do this...He actually feels threatened that I'm making some money. I told him that I'm making "fun money" not an actual living. I mean seriously, he nets almost $6000 per month from his job and I make a paltry $250. I just really like selling my crafts and my new shrink told me that he thinks it's wonderful...Not for the money so much, but because it gives me a sense of purpose and direction all week.

I'm sort of at a loss. On the one hand, I don't want to fight with my husband, but on the other hand...Should he really be trying to stop me from doing this? Dr. Flame thinks my husband should see his own shrink to deal with his insecurity issues:P, but for now...What can I say to maker him see I'm not judging his ability to support me. I'm just having some fun and meeting new people for 4 hours once a week!

Actually he is a major! He got promoted like a year ago.:P He also gets special incentive pay for skill in his language.

Maybe you could donate them to a food pantry instead. Same sense of purpose, solves marital problem.
